On September 4, 1985, a star was born to Veanna Lavel Lee in Los Angeles, California. Lavel Buckholtz was raised by his grandparents in Los Angeles. He faced some difficult times in his childhood, starting with the abandonment of his father and the death of his mother. Realizing his ablity to express his feelings through poetry, at the age of 12 he picked up a microphone and never looked back. Song by song, he started recording from his bedroom closet. Through it all, he stood his ground and made it through to blossom into a man, a poet, and an all-around leader through his music.
LvB's music has matured over the years and he completed three mixtapes in the last year: All Aboard Mixtape Vol.1, All Aboard Mixtape Vol.2, and The Musical Briefcase Mixtape. He has songs from the past and songs that have not been recorded yet, and he is ready to flood the local and internet markets. His music has been able to reach out to different artists and fans around the country, which has made his motivation to rise to the top continuous. With the style of Hip/Hop and a twist of New School R&B, his sound catches the ears of fans of many ages.
LvB has performed in various hot spots in Los Angeles, such as The Patriotic Hall (downtown L.A.), Musician Institute (Hollywood), The Palms Bar (Santa Monica), and The B.B. Kings House of Blues (Hollywood), and 14Below club(Santa Monica). Over the past eight years, he's been speaking through the wire hoping to one day get his chance to shine for the world to see. Going through the fire with his head held high and his feet on solid ground, there's no stopping what he has prepared for the world to hear.
