Soulful lead vocals, distinctive guitar work and Franklin's eclectic message for spiritual and social change along with the collectives unique groove blending funk, fusion and pop-rock are the hallmark of Infinite Frequency’s jammin' sound. With a rotating line-up of friends and phenomenal musicians, Infinite Frequency brings magic to the stage whether it's the power of the trio or whether it's the full 10-piece ensemble with horns, keyboard, percussion and backing vocalists. Regardless of the shape and size of the Frequency, Ian Franklin always brings the players together to share in an unmistakable chemistry, creating a sound that keeps their audiences dancing and leaves them craving for more.
Infinite Frequency released their debut record What If… in May 2006 and have had many successes over the past year. in late 2006 Infinite Frequency won the Boston Regional Global Battle of the Bands and went to Los Angeles for the National Finals and Infinite Frequency performed at the Key Club in Hollywood, CA. In the midst of many triumphs the debut CD What If... additionally had a very accomplished radio campaign and the CD What IF... was added to over 150 plus radio stations. Infinite Frequency is also now featured on MTV2's website for Boston's Ultimate Music Scene. Since performing over one hundred and fifty-plus dates the past year to support the album and launching their website in May 2006 Infinite Frequency has had immense growth throughout the Internet while gaining and mounting a worldwide following. What If… is now being distributed in the Philippines, Manila.
What If…, Infinite Frequency’s debut record, features an impressive and original collection composed by front man singer/songwriter and guitarist Ian Franklin. This work was recorded and mixed on analog tape by Joe Laquidara at Oak grove Studios in Malden, MA. What If… captures the sonic texture of Infinite Frequency’s live performances. Ian Franklin chose to record on analog tape to ensure listeners the same passionate and dynamic experience that is an Infinite Frequency performance. What If… is a musical journey through Ian Franklin’s life, touching on love, friendships, inspirations, joys, passions and pains. Franklin hopes that the album provides listeners with a distraction from their own lives, to enjoy life in the infinite expression of music. Just like the underlying theme of the album What If… the idea behind the band Infinite Frequency is a collective of members and their inspirations and aspirations. The vision behind Infinite Frequency’s sound is to invite the masses into sharing a unified direction, a reformation of the way we live; the album ultimately calls for social change. With songs relating to all of life’s ups and downs, fans can truly relate to their own lives through the musical experience the album provides.
Infinite Frequency has been performing in the Boston, MA area and the surrounding north eastern states the past 3 years. Originally from Santa Rosa, CA, singer/songwriter and guitarist Ian Franklin performed with a variety of ensembles in the San Francisco area before moving to Boston. In 1995, Ian Franklin formed his first band, Gollum, a fusion, rock-funk and hip-hop group. The band found great success as one of the better local acts in Northern California from 1995-1998. Following this 3-year musical stint Franklin quickly grabbed onto another project called Cory’s Slug and performed in the local music scene with them for 2 years. Following Cory’s Slug, Franklin joined up with a separate power trio called Wish, an ambient tribal-rock group. In 2002, Wish released the album Full, culled from countless jam sessions in a WWII asbestos bombshell bunker in Santa Rosa, CA. One of Ian Franklin’s most recent accomplishments to date is having his song,” Perfect World," selected as the title theme song for an incredible upcoming documentary entitled, "In A Perfect World - Listen To The Children." Ian Franklin has fine-tuned his skills through extensive study and training at Berklee College of Music along with years of live performing to create his very successful project Infinite Frequency.

David Lockhart's painfully excessive capturing of the booze-swilling and constantly concupiscent Jim Morrison is an encyclopedic homage to the ethos of rock. Boudeeka's haunting accurate portrayal of Janis Joplin is a tribute to women in rock and the raw emotion that was so much a part of the scene. Carlton Poward is an almost frightening replica with his spot-on Jimi Hendrix characterization and inspired guitar playingšÃ‚ Pat Craig Contra Costa Times
