ABOUT INFINITE
Keeping a positive outlook on life, Infinite managed to survive the grimy streets of Mississippi. Initially basketball dwelled in the forefront, while rapping and writing merely created a hobby. Basketball represented a full-time job but Infinite still wrecked talent shows and school yards starting in ‘96. Eventually receiving a full basketball scholarship to the University of Kentucky and transferring to Jackson State after two years enabled Infinite to secure a bachelor of science in biology/pre-physical therapy. The success of this hardworking lady made life look easy, however along the way Infinite overcame mountains and valleys to excel beyond her peers. Filled with pain, she maintained a humbling spirit and rarely talked about her struggles, her street ties, and the deaths of many of her close friends. And No!!! She hadn’t forgotten them. As a matter of fact, Infinite refused to forget her struggles however left her life story to only playback on wax. Like Infinite said before, “This isn’t just music. This is my life, my struggle, and my strife. Music is my story.”
The perseverance of Infinite helped establish a bountiful stepping-stone career and many positive achievements for Infinite. Dropping her first solo project in January 2006, Infinite achieved recognition from the Jackson Music Awards as Best Female Rap Artist and selected as overall Best HipHop/Rap Artist at the Mississippi Best Awards. With great album reviews, newspaper articles, and magazine interviews, Infinite engulfed the attention of many record labels and the utmost respect from supporters and entertainers. In addition Infinite established one of the sexiest and notorious all female street team in Mississippi, which made Infinite stand out more creating a bigger demand for Infinite. Networking doubled, collaborations doubled, and of course the fan base doubled.
Infinite embodies the characteristic of a very versatile and original rapper/lyricist. She reframes from sounding similar to other artist, like most copy-cat entertainers in the industry. Accustomed to a street flow, she still catches the attention of different audiences and cultures by possessing dimensions. While the music industry goes through phases, Infinite demands the attention of her fan base with life stories and controversial life situations and in addition scarcely flows over the newest trend. Collaborating and networking with several artist (i.e. Kamikaze, Slim Picket, Ron Carbo, G-Boogie, 1 Life 1 Love Records, Corner Boys Worldwide, etc.) displays examples of her versatility and demands respect even from established artist.
Labeled as one of the hardest-working women in Mississippi, Infinite continues to excel. Even when she performs, her energy is bounty-less; 5th Ward Weebie (No Limit Records) recognized her for that. Nominated Best (Female) Mixtape at the SEAs, Voted Best Female Rap Artist at the MBA's, and awarded "the Jackie" for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Infinite continues to establish her career and respect in the music industry and gain recognition as one of the hottest female artist in the South. Her thoughts evolve and her abilities are endless but her music, Her MUSIC IS INFINITE!!!
