In December 2005, Terri Sydney was invited to sing at 'W1 Live', the LYF New Year Celebration and decided to call in a favour and ask a couple of her friends to sing with her. Whilst rehearsing at Holloway Church, Naomi received a phone call from Danae who happened to hear the song in the background and decided that she would like join to sing the song 'Always' by Kirk Franklin. Olivia was also invited to balance out the sound as a strong soprano. Saturday 31st December saw the birth of 6 piece girl group with no name and after the performance, the group was asked to sing at a few church events. Unfortunately, Terri had to move out of London for university hence causing her to leave the group but God provided and sent Rachel who fitted in perfectly and joined Serena singing tenor. Things began to happen in July 2006. The group received an invitation to sing at the 'Winans Tribute Concert'. When thinking of a name, Janice's mind went back to how we first came together and came to the conclusion that it was a result of Divine Inspiration. After further discussion, the girls came to agree that 'Inspired' was a fitting name. This same month saw a great management team join the girls: Jason Thompson, Samantha White and Trevor Williams. They have helped push the girls spiritually and musically. Thank God for them! July held even more for Inspired! The girls were asked to be a supporting artist for Virtue, Stephen Hurd & Lecresia Campbell in a concert held at Wembley Arena in September 2006. Inspired consists of: Olivia Briscoe & Janice Swaby (sopranos), Karine Jones & Naomi Osei (altos), Serena Maurice (tenor). Inspired is currently working on their own material and by following the Father's lead hope to establish a powerful message that will bring many people to know and accept Jesus Christ into their lives.
