Interests

  • General

..Scooters (I have an Li series 2), music, gigs, travelling - I love Thailand and Australia and go over as often as I can, Interior Design, Art, have dabbled in adventure sports, love surfing (or attempting to!) but you can't do much of that in Leicester! I have a great social life so I have to say going out features highly in my list of 'interests'!
  • Music

..Love it all: punk, psychobilly, rockabilly, northern soul, jazz, 60s garage, all the indie stuff, the Zutons, Hard Fi, Razorlight, the Fratellis (great album), the Arctic Monkeys, the White Stripes (saw them in Oz, Datsuns supporting), the Killers, the Kooks, the Subways, Dead 60s, the Yards, the Bellrays, 1990s, the Urges, Rancid, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Splitters, the Toasters, the Hoosiers played a great gig, Reverend and the Makers, are fantastic and the Ting Tings....Morning Lane, English Electric and the fabulous Runnin Riot...I could go on ...all time faves, Stiff Little Fingers & all the old punk stuff, the Small Faces, the Who, the Kinks. Check out The Dirty Backbeats, psychedelic punk, from Leicester. They're fab! They're splitting up in December, so catch them very soon! Still go to lots of gigs. Recently been to see Motorhead, the Charlatans, Danbert Nobacon, Tracey Curtis, Atilla the Stockbroker, LCD Soundsystem (great gig), Miles Hunt from Wonderstuff (amazing!) & Nigel Clarke (Dodgy), Kaiser Chiefs, Reverend and the Makers (again!). Just seen King Kurt again at Morecambe rally. Saw them in the early 80s in the Fridge in Brixton. Have been to see the Dead 60s lots of times. Fantastic band. Such a shame they've split up. Check out Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip. Lovin' them at the mo. Album is brilliant!
  • Movies

..Barbarella, any Audrey Hepburn film, any Johnny Depp film, The Motorcycle Diaries, Amelie, Chocolat, Lord of the Rings, Willow, Labyrinth, love all that fantasy stuff. American History X, American Beauty, Once upon a Time in America, Pulp Fiction...
  • Television

..Don't really do much telly but love Shameless, Life on Mars, Top Gear (has gotta be the best TV ever), Al Murray's Happy Hour, The Friday Night Project, but watch MTV2 mostly.
  • Books

..Still life with Volkswagens, Goodbye Johnny Thunders, The Motorcycle Diaries, all the Colin Bateman books, Irvine Welsh stuff, biographies, travel books. Just read 'Chocolat', 'Blackberry Wine', 'a Short History of Tractors in Ukranian' and 'Evil Spirits, The Life of Oliver Reed' (what a personality :-/ I did shed a tear or two tho). Read 'Long Way Round' Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman's riding round the world adventure, great book. Karl Pilkington, funny, funny book, The Last King of Scotland. Reading books about Myra Hindley at the minute. Not exactly bedtime reading! Finding time to read a bit more.
  • Heroes

..Anyone that has a positive influence on my life!

    Loves Caressing Lips.

    Loves' caressing lips,
    Joining hands,
    Folding desires...

    Loves' girating hips,
    Joining in serpentine limbs,
    Greatest joy...

    Lusting her,
    She wants me,
    Light of flower-cup so wet,
    She wants mine,
    Soaking hers...

    Pulsing bodies,
    Tingling spine...

    Pleasure wrapped in silk,
    She like wine,
    Mine like milk...

    Love opens up,
    Her worlds of glory,
    Inside her passion,
    Desired eagerly!

Hi Lyn - Hope you're well?

I am just writing to let you know that we are staging our debut album launch party / celebration in central London on SAT SEPT 26 and we'd love you to be there.

It's at CROSSFIRE 14, one of the UK's most popular 60s, mod & northern soul events and the DCs will be on stage at around 9.30pm wth an enlarged band and special guests with an amazing allnighter spread across 3 separate rooms following the live show.

DJs at the event include Russ Winstanley (Wigan  Casino), Ady Croasdell (100 Club), Rob Bailey (Beat Bespoke, New Untouchables), Brian Rae, Miguel Ygaza (Mushroom Machine, Spain), Rogeer Banks, Val Palmer, Dave Greet, Alan Handscombe, Jim Cox, Joe Dutton (Backbeat), Pete Tebbutt (Talk Of The South), Speed, Stephan Golowka (Up Club, Germany), Coffin Joe (The Horrors), Scott C (Lava Lounge).

Tickets cost £12 (£8 NUS / ES40 card)) which is a bargain really.

The show is being held inside 229 The Venue opposite Regent's Park.

There will be a collectors limited edition double A sided single from us released on the night "The Contessa" / "Snake Charmer" (on good old vinyl) with the album "Six Against Eight" coming very shortly after :)

Hope you can make it - please let us know if you want any tickets :)

    All the best!
