Books
I'm on my third trip through the Hebrew Scriptures and my sixth trip through the Greek. I always come back to Krishnamurti who I would like to call my hero, but that would completely unfold the entire purpose (let's just say my eyes are wide open, usually). I found both volumes of H.G. Wells' "The Outline of History" at an antique store. I just finished volume one and slowly getting through the second one. Great book!
Heroes
Heroes? Maybe you missed the part about Krishnamurti!

I'm a singer/songwriter living in Southern Indiana. I write on the acoustic guitar. Check out my artist site for a listen myspace.com/Boldery
I also manage the OpenMicNetwork, an online virtual stage where I bring together singer/songwriters from all over the world to showcase their originality and talent. I yearn for better, more down-to-earth people-music to be heard and so the Network provides some resistance to the mainstream. Check us out at myspace.com/OpenMicNetwork !
I'm not really about idolizing famous people ever since I tore down my shrine to Kurt. I admire the poetic genius of Eddie Vedder, but I can't say I have anything of import to communicate. The bragging rights involved in meeting "famous" people are appealing, but they are more ego-inflative than impressive (I realize that -ive is not a proper suffix for transforming 'inflate' into an adjective but I am a writer, I get to make up my own words).
Seriously? My dad died on March 1st, 2000 when I was 23. We had a rough relationship when I was growing up. He was hardheaded and I was a smart-aleck. When cancer took him, I was just getting mature enough to understand him and he was just getting old enough to calm down; find humility. It would have turned into a great relationship. What I am saying is this: I never knew my true dad and he never knew the true me. But in the very end, we caught a glimpse of one another. So yeah, I'd like to meet my dad.
