Did Gavin just drop a Slim Galiard reference? Yeah man, the contra bass clar is property of USC, but if you get down here I'm sure we could get a recording of you playing it. They also have a ton of other sick business; A bunch of historical french horns, a whole range of different flutes, shawms, low marimbas etc. I'm in paradise
Livestock republic sounds real vout-o-reenee...and Elsa and Lollipop(my cows)seemed to like it too. If snorting and pawing at the ground is a sign of approval, that is.
so...i've only listened to autonomous livestock once...and...i dont typically like to send my thoughts until ive listened multiple times as i am reserved in thinking that something cutting always requires a good multiple listenings before its true offering is realized. but the ending...that ending only took one listening to realize its greatness. its slap you in the face fantastatic.
...Two A Tea. I would Die For Livestock Republique ... and hippy chix. Great hook there bubby and fabulous Residents-esque dissonance at the end with the catchy repetitive hookness of POP ... gotta luv it, yes ;)
long time. happy holidays. this is some honest-to-god great music.
i saw steve martin's "king tut" on tv the other day, which made me think of you on stage with wonderloaf several years ago. also, at that very show, you played a cowbell in your back pocket... a tradition which - i hope you don't mind - i've stolen.
awww, man. I miss the days sitting in your bedroom recording whatever songs we felt like. I know you obviously didn't record "Quartet" in your Manhattan bedroom, but that's where I picture you recording it as I listen to it.
pass the peas like I used to say, pass the peas like I used to say, pass the peas like I used to say, pass the peas like I used to say...PASS "EM THEN!!
gin in a bottle is my ..1 most favorite kuta song eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever. oh how i fucking cherish it. i just listened to it and my day is going better already. thanks, dog.
