When my life isn't revolving around my beautiful friends and family, I am consumed with being an artist of life. I play all sorts of music on the piano, celtic whistle, and harmonica (and hopefully soon the cello), as well as compose, I paint and draw with/on many various mediums, I do amateur photography and videography, I enjoy too many different crafty projects to even mention, I try to exemplify the values and roles of gardener and peacemaker (which I feel should go hand-in-hand), I write and think in poetry and eventually hope to be a writer of books. I love and am filled with the energy, beauty and wonders of life and the earth in all the varying forms they come in. I thoroughly enjoy devoting my existence to the interpretation, expression, and experiencing of them in any way I can find, and wouldn't have it any other way. My most favorite of these are people, especially my friends and family, who are the biggest part of my life.
My baby girl is a very sweet, gorgeous, precious, White Polish, blue-eyed doe rabbit named Buttercup. She's 7 years old, and for that many years, she's given me a steady reason to wake up every morning on days when there was none or barely any. Always a faithful and loving traveling and emotional companion, she's been through thick and thin with me.
My second sweetie that we just got in Oct 2006 is a 2 year old Blue Mac Tabby kitty named Ziti! She keeps me company all through the night when I can't sleep, and is best friends with Buttercup believe it or not!
Learning to live with the limitations that come with a chronic, degenerative, debilitating genetic defect like EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) is a challenge. I find that most people generally take their bodies for granted. Who can blame them, though? We spend our lives trying to be "normal" and searching for the "normal" way and "normal" things. But in truth... there is no such thing as a definite "normal". Take what Life throws you, and learn how to survive and live with it. That is "normal".
I am a survivor of severe abuse since childhood of just about every kind. No pity. No shame. No silence. Even though it could have left me bitter, I have chosen instead to let it make me strong. I'm very open to talking about my past, but at the same time I'm not loud about it. The abusers won't win and I am a victim no more.
I was planning on going to college in Fall of 2006 and studying counseling/psychology and especially teen out-reaches. It was, and still is a desire of mine to work at something like a half-way house. My heart goes out especially to teens and adolescents and children who have never known anything but destruction, hate, pain and cruelty in this world. I would want to try my hardest to show them that love doesn't have to hurt and good people truly DO exist in this world...through all of the darkness and evil... Unfortunately, though, with several disabilities of all sorts crippling me, my body, and my future, that desire has had to be put on the back burner for the time being.
I am now looking to get some education into art and art therapy and look into becoming an art therapist. I've experienced and seen first-hand the power of therapudic art, and I believe it's something that could be utilized a lot more coupled with other forms of psychotherapy. I believe that this might actually be an obtainable goal for me since it won't interfere too very much with my disabilities.
I am currently attached to the most wonderful man in the whole world, Chris. He's been everything and so much more to me for 4 years now. I'm the luckiest and happiest girl in the world to be currently living with him (and 6 other wonderful people). These past 2 years have been the best years I have ever lived in my entire life. I hope there are many more like this to come!! ^_^

Who I'd like to meet: Who would I like to meet?...hmm...I suppose the only one I've ever really wanted to meet is God. But, all in due time, of course. ^_^
Other than that, just meeting new people in general is always a cool thing. ^_^
