Jailhouse Choppers- Lor Izzard, Harry Normington and Mike Vidan
Jailhouse Choppers has been in the making for a long time. The name of the shop came from a discussion with a friend who didn't understand what old school was all about and more accurately didn't understand why anybody cared for the classic look of a bare bones, stripped down chop. The answer- an old school bike, if done right, looks like it could have been built in prison. Rudimentary, functional and hard as nails.
Long time friends Harry Normington and Lor Izzard fell from the same tree. While having widely varied mechanical backgrounds, these guys understand what it takes to build a modern-classic. Both having a long history in aviation and motorcycles - it's easy to see why they have created some of the most innovative bikes in recent years.
Recently, Mike Vidan has partnered up with these guys to lend his expertise in sales and marketing. It's the collective knowledge, skill and talent that have come together to make Jailhouse Choppers of the most inventive and original shops around.
We have begun to see the shift in the world of custom motorcycles away from the high dollar, fat tired, big inch bikes to the raw and sanitary bikes that we build and love. Understanding that our style of motorcycle is not for everyone, Jailhouse Choppers will have many scratching their heads while others with the taste for pure and classic mechanical innovation will be eager to see what's next!
