Nick Knight (Photographer) - A pioneer of digital fashion photography. Considered a legend of the media.
Gok Wan (Stylist) - For doing a amazing thing.
Making woman feel as pretty as they really are.
A Tribe Called Quest (Old School Rap) - For bucking the trend and instead of rapping about guns and drugs, they rap about knowledge and understanding. Pioneers.
Pharrel Williams (New School Rap) - A true rags to riches story. Inspiring through fashion that you can rule the world from nothing.
Amanda Kate (Great Girl) - Always there for me, Although there's hundreds of miles between us.
Kevin McCloud (Architecture Guru) - More than a TV host. His pure love for his area, shows in his passion on TV, and that commands respect and admiration.
Quantic (Musical Artist) - The soundtrack to my life. Never have I found a artist so close to perfection of making music.
Karl Lagerfeld (Fashion Institute) - The leader of Chanel and fashion as a whole for decades, a true idol and inovator.
Check this shit out, two thirds way through it turns into a riotttttt
I'm a up and coming fashion / live performance photographer , journalist and model.
If you live in South Wales and have anything to do with the music and fashion scene around here, you might know me personally, probably heard of me and seen my work about.
Yes i've got shit loads of thousands of pounds of lovely digital this and that but I shoot film aswell, old school huh. It's a nice feeling taking more intresting pictures on a £20 Holga than a £5000 1Ds Mark III...
My Past? It's another story of the typical non popular, skinny bullied outsider kid at school rising above others. One by one people are being surprised by me. I'm one of the lucky not so good looking guys where pretty woman like me for what I do and who I am. I have respect for the real people who are pushing boundaries and go out of their way to make you look twice. These are the true champions in my eyes, Not myspace whores sorry.
Fashion features a huge part in my life, in a non-gay guy way, though the way I talk about things, how I respect woman, and general flouncing around the place like a right tart have left people saying im camper than a row of tents! I'd like to see myself a couple of years from now working for one of the largest fashion houses in the world of fashion, and the way im going about it, It's going to happen. I can come across as arrogant to some, which is respectful again, but I ensure you it's just confidence and me having some fun. Most people in life just complain about their life but when someone loves it, it doesn't always go down too well!!!
I'm into all that funky electro/house/blog/techno music, coming from "Ponty butt" South Wales its quite a challenge. People around this way aren't interested in that sort of thing which I respect, but we manage it bruva! I also really like my chill out/electronica music when not getting down, and also spread my way into a massive music collection, covering all sorts of music genre's. I got love for classical to 80-s...!!
With all that funky music comes a natural instinct to party, me and posse like to LOCK it down. I like being the first one on the floor. Up jump the boogie mutha fucker!
Also something to keep an eye out for, I'm considering getting into some DJ'ing myself. I'm working on a few mixes at the moment, latest blow tunes etc. So watch this space... no... that one see... yea to the right...
Anyway, few thanks, firstly too all the lovely blogs out there that keep me up to date, the people in London etc who keep me going sometimes when I feel lonely in the welsh hills and also my mammy and daddy, oh and whiskers the cat.
To end, the important stuff. The photography. I've been shooting to a professional standard for around a year now. I'm a true jack of all trades. Ask me to shoot it, and it usually comes out looking like I've done it for years, how I don't know, I just seem to be able to use my camera well and have the right ideas', which is handy! I've shot bugger loads of bands from the likes of the Lost Prophets, Klaxon's, SMD, Paramore, Reel Big Fish and The Automatic, but if you hadn't guessed, fashion is where I lie. I shoot with a variety of kit these days. Most commissions are handed digitally on a Canon 1D Mark III or 40D SLR, or on special occasions a digital Mamiya medium format. Film is handled by either Bronica or again Mamiya medium format systems, or Canon 50E and 650 35mm SLR's.
