He was cantankerous
He was a grumpy old bear
And if you ask the kids
He wasnt always fair
But he was other things too
He was father,a grandfather
Friend and brother
He was husband and son
Oh, how he loved his mother
He loved his grandkids
Though he didnt always show it
He loved them all
And I think they know it
He took them on the tractor
He took them to the store
He let them play in his shop
He did this and so much more
He tinkered and fixed
He was good with his hands
And over the years
He mowed miles and miles of land
He drink gallons of coffee
Barbecued almost everyday
He even loved his old mama cat
Of course, in his own way
It was in this way
That he loved us all
We wont forget him
We wont at all
This is how i knew him
This poem was wrote for my Dad by my sister in law may he rest in peace 6/24/07
