About Eggs:
Eggs grew up loving music. His father (Rooster) and Mother (Hen) taught him to love bands like The Allman Brothers Band, Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and The Doors. Soon Eggs started to expand his music listening to include reggae, dub, ska and punk. Several years passed before Eggs started to shift his tastes again to more jammy acts like Phish, The Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic. This genre opened the door for many new types of music for Eggs, which found him frequenting more and more concerts. Over the next several years Eggs made it his top priority to enjoy as many live acts as he could. He has always been a teacher of music, to friends, family and the odd stranger here and there. He knows when something sounds good or bad, and will not let it go when he feels he it's right.
About Breakfast On Tour:
Breakfast On Tour was cooked up in the fall of 2007. The breakfast idea developed out of (oddly enough) an emergency room visit. Cereal accompanied a good friend to the ER a few weeks before Halloween 2007. She and Eggs had been racking their brains for costume ideas, and while she sat in the ER staring blankly at the TV, she had an epiphany (okay, so it was less of an epiphany and more of a commercial)--Froot Loops. When her friend returned, Cereal excitedly told her of her costume idea. She replied, "You should go as bacon and eggs or something--be breakfast!" And so breakfast was born.
Eggs and Cereal decided to wear their costumes to the Voodoo Music Experience, and were determined to convince the rest of their group to become breakfast items. Fortunately, they were easily persuaded, and the original breakfast crew made their debut at the festival: Cereal, Eggs, Doughnut, Coffee, Toast, Bacon, and Syrup.
While at Voodoo, the idea of creating a music-focused blog was discussed. And why not? Our favorite hobby is going to shows, and we talk about music constantly anyway, so...why not write about it? And here we are, Breakfast On Tour.
We are tasty.
We like to dress in costumes.
We believe that people who deny backstage access to music-lovers clad in breakfast attire should have their heads examined. Who says no to breakfast?!
We have a strict 'No Spin Zone' policy.
We enjoy moshing, but only when protected by several layers of puffy goodness.
Random parades featuring shopping carts decorated with Christmas lights hold a special place in our hearts.
Come on, Lippy.

The 8-String Guitar Wizard makes a stop in the "Good Life" in support of recently released album Baboon Strength. You will not want to miss this show!
Since the debut of his self-titled Charlie Hunter Trio in 1993, Charlie Hunter has recorded 17 albums. During that time, Hunter has worked with and recorded with many artists, including Miles Perkins, Scott Amendola, Will Bernard, Skerik, Jay Lane, Dave Ellis, John Ellis, Mimi Fox, Peter Apfelbaum, Stefon Harris, Kurt Elling, Bobby Previte, Greg Osby, Chris Lovejoy, LeonParker, Josh Roseman, John Santos, John Schott, D'angelo, Calder Spanier, Mos Def, Norah Jones, Adam Cruz, and Willard Dyson, to name just a few.
Charlie Hunter's latest album, "Baboon Strength", is his first self-release in a career spanning over 15 years. Critics are hailing it as his most innovative and provocative release to date. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Charlie released and produced this record by himself. We couldn't be more excited for this extremely talented musician's arrival in the "Good Life" to amaze music fans of all ages! This will truly be an amazing night of music. You won't know what hit you after this show... CONFIRMED!
Rad Kadillac Productions and Box Awesome are proud to present "Outside the Box: Spring Session vol. 1," a new community driven event focused on the celebration of music, the season and all things Outside the Box. The event will take place on Friday, May 1st, inside and outside of the Box Awesome in the Historic Haymarket District in Downtown Lincoln, NE.
We have assembled three stages showcasing some of the amazing talent that we have right here in Lincoln and Omaha. Two stages will be inside the Box Awesome at 815 O Street and our Main Stage will literally be Outside the Box underneath the recently completed O Street overpass. Due to the cover of the overpass and the two stages inside, this will be a rain or shine event. Gates for the 18 and over event will open at 5:30 p.m. and the music will start promptly at 6 p.m. There will be continuous music for seven hours as we have staggered the performances so that there will never be a break in the action between the stages.
Come join us for a celebration of music, good people, the season and all things Outside the Box! A truly unique event with over 15 bands for only $10 at the gate. We look forward to seeing you at this inside and outside festival experience.
