   About Jan Morrison
Grew up in Alabama and Tennessee. Loved the Jackson Five, Alice Cooper and T-Rex when I was a kid. I had a Fender Mustang when I was twelve that looked like Jackson Pollack painted it. My musical influences are chant, Arvo Part, Peter Gabriel, Mississippi fife & drum. My first CD, Remember Me, was released in October 2004 and included Dwell in My Love and Lord Hear My Prayer. My latest CD, Joy + Pain, was released November 1, 2005 on CDBaby.com. There are six songs: Bang the Drum, a raucous romp about the thrill of invading other countires; Break Free; Joy, about being grateful; You Are My Pain; Sunrise; and a cover of Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes (I LOVE that song!).

Just letting all our friends here know what is going on for us this month.

We had a wonderful gig at the Red Light Café on April 27. Thanks Zindi, mom, and Chuck. You came out and supported us and it was awesome. Our music was called whimsical, and it spoke to the soul and brightened moods, also the versatility of the songs mixes up the sound so it isn't the same old thing song after song. Nate's jokes rocked big time, come on out and see what he says next!!! If you weren't there, you missed an awesome show, however, there is another chance for you, we will be playing on Eddie’s Attic Open Mic. Monday May 5 we go on around 7:30pm. You can get tickets for this show either on line at www. eddiesattic. com or get them at the venue when you come out. Eddie’s has great food and drink to, so come on out and enjoy yourself with great music, friends, and food!

The address:
Eddie’s Attic
515-B North McDonough St.
Decatur, Georgia 30030

Go up the stairs and come on in!

We are working on some more new dates for this month and the summer so keep in touch by checking out our websites for updates.
Thanks and Blessings,
Toni
