No dreary human angst or self-indulgent
celebrations of the decay of our society, or teenage
imbecility saturated in drugs and sex, thank you. Quality fantasies,
some good sci-fi, astute political drama, action films with
wit and humor, real comedy (VERY hard to find now) and
competent escapist fare. No melodramatic, pin-headed sex and
self-indulgent 'drama' constantly repainted and forced
into the minds of a dumbed down theater flock.
Audience reactions...like laughing on cue when the
script tells them to...are some of the most frightful
aspects of the contemporary movie theater experience.
Cloverfield was quite a fun ride. The Illusionist
showed that good films and filmmaking are still alive.
Depp is America's best actor, of course.

About me: Regarding the Alex Jones Issue
Those who know me and understand the enormous effort involved in presenting news and inquiry, fully-realize I do not threaten people. It is anathema to me and all that I stand for. The issues involved in the current controversy are virtually insignificant to the pressing mandate of confronting and exposing the enemy attacking what's left of our Liberty, our Constitution and our very way of life. I have not gone to court for a restraining order against Mr. Jones, nor have I filed formal charges against anyone. A police report and case number are far different and are employed to simply make formal note of an event.
The critical nature of the crisis confronting the patriot community and our Republic requires the full energies of all of us, and I therefore consider the current issue closed. As I always have, I wish the Jones family and all honorable Americans health, wellness and security, just as I do for my own family. Both Mr. Jones and myself have been the recipients of many death threats over the years and I have now received even more to add to that sorry total. In bringing this matter to a close, I have removed my private reply to a longtime listener from my MySpace page. Once again, I do NOT threaten people nor have I ever done so in my entire life. I trust Mr. Jones will join with me in moving ahead together to confront the darkness now enshrouding our planet. There is simply no time for anything else.

turn...fueled and abetted by the most ruthless, seductive, powerful
weapon ever unleashed on human kind - television. 'Contextual
morality' now rules. Decent principles, values, true character and
gentle, kind behavior are all too often mocked and
derided...especially among younger people, as programmed by the mass
media. Avoid fads, give while expecting nothing in return, strive to
excel at what it is you love, and endeavor to leave whatever or
whomever you encounter in life a little bit better if at all possible.

Truly I hope this finds each and every one of you doing well in these incredibly wild and often tumultuous times. I wanted you to know that I try to read all of your comments and do come by to look at the great group of 'friends' gathered here. Most of my time is spent in dealing with hundreds of news stories from emails and sites every day, 365 days. 16 hour days are common.
From all of these submissions and referrals, I then decide which stories to run on rense. com.
Each arriving story is looked at and skimmed over.
If I decide to run it, the story can either be directly linked to, or it might be posted directly on rense. com...which means I will edit, format, and often write new headlines and titles for them. The deluge is enormous and the rate at which things are happening, as you know, is almost a blur at times.
When I visit MySpace, I marvel at the kind messages and wonderful people here...you are all appreciated. I wish I could say hello to each of you personally and to thank you for your thoughtful interest but there are just not enough hours in a day. As much as I can, I read about your thoughts, concerns and suggestions...and they are all appreciated. As I hope most of you already know, I don't always endorse or approve of each piece I post on the rense. com...it's not my job to censor but to present as wide a panorama of 'news' as possible...to better enable each person to make up his or her mind on the issues in question. One thing I don't do is give 'equal time' to the propaganda of the MSM...they already own 95% of the media platforms. Journalism used to be...is supposed to be...what I hope rense. com succeeds at being. I’m also the kind of journalist who likes to be aware of all kinds of different viewpoints - even some that seem cuckoo - and will continue to present as much viable and often controversial information on to you as I can.
