Performing singer-songwriter Jennifer Plummer embodies a soulful acoustic sound.
Live, Jennifer has a solid and charismatic presence, easing into the event of music with an unassuming freshness. She has opened for, and shared the stage with a variety of well known musicians, including; the Rheostatics, Spirit of the West, Lucas Rossi, Pat Robitaille, King Cobb Steelie. and Oh Susanna. Uniquely, Jennifer accompanies herself using the Djembe (an African hand drum), as well as guitar and the occasional use of the harmonica.
Her latest album "Recordings before Dawn" weaves her expressive lyrics and melodies into a story rich with sensitivity and strength. The song "Sun will be Breaking" off her album, is featured in an episode of the L.A. based T.V. show MISSING.
Jennifer is currently touring Ontario, Quebec and the East Coast, solo, and with her band. LAUGH REBEL (Paul DiSalle-lead guitar/vocals, Jen Courchesne-bass/vocals, and Mike Brushey-Drums). The band delivers a high energy, progressive pop/folk sound; with the use of strong melodies, rich harmonies and soulful, innovative guitar.
With a new album set to be release in 2010; Jennifer Plummer is entering the Canadian music scene with a strong and steady stride.
