and now a little about myself...

COMIC BOOKS, I read about 100 a month. I like to believe in things greater than myself. Mostly greater things with their underwear on the outside of their pants.

MOVIES and SERIALIZED TV, I own over 1,000 DVDs!

MUSIC, I listen to tons of different styles, good music is good music. WRITING, I love it, stories, skits, comic books, songs, whatever.

FOOTBALL, I have played for half of my life and will continue to do so for as long as I am able.

SINGING, obviously. PERFORMING, slightly more so than singing.

RPGs, REAL ONES like RIFTS and AD&D, they help expand the mind!

TOYS! I have a shit load of comic book, movie & tv show Action Figures, that I set-up and mess with in a 6 inch scale city, that I have been building since I was 10!

The MUPPETS! I'm a huge fan, I have tons of action figures, stuffed animals & statues in my "Muppet Collection!"

STAR TREK! I've recently become a huge Trekker (Not Trekkie, the more snobbish Trekkers don't like being called that!) I have all of the movies and series on DVD!

COMEDY! I think Eddie Izzard is one of the funniest men alive, I have all of his stand up, his outlook on life parrellels my own! One of the first funny things my father turned me onto was Monty Python! I love pretty much everything they've ever done!

    BATMAN. He's the shit. What?

FRAGGLE ROCK, it had some of the best music I ever heard when I was a kid and suprisingly it still holds up today!

COMEDIANS, I love Chris Rock, Dane Cook, Eddie Izzard, Steve Martin, Bill Cosby, John Leguizamo and loads of others!

TIGERS. I like them and ANIMALS in general. Pretty much the only TV I watch is Animal Planet & Discovery Channel (Most TV I pick up on DVD, but I also watch Cartoon Network!)

CARTOONS! I love Cartoons, especially adult cartoons, like South Park, Futurama & the Simpsons! But I love shows like Darkwing Duck, He-man, Batman and Justice League Unlimited TOO!

GYMNASTICS, cause I'm a big kid and I like to jump on and hang from things.

STAYING IN SHAPE. I read comics so in my mind Superman is average build. Plus, I'm tired of everyone thinking that us rockers are pale weaklings!

ROLLER HOCKEY! I love to play, but I haven't been able to in a while!

CHRISTMAS & HALLOWEEN are my favorite holidays. I usually dress up for Halloween, but I tend to wait to the last minute to put a costume together and usually end up drawing on my face with black eyeliner! SANTA CLAUS is one of my Favorite people!

    SOUTH PARK is totally TITS!!!

NINTENDO is my favorite game systems, Mario type games make me very happy!

    And... I guess that's it! =)

About me:

!!! A QUICK APOLOGY TO THOSE TRYING TO CONTACT ME !!!

I have been busier than ever and at the same time receiving more letters than ever before and I just can't keep up. I'm going to try and get back to the stack in my mailbox right now, but please understand, from now on, unless you've written something that really needs or deserves a response, consider my response a resounding, "Thanks a lot for writing and I hope you enjoy what I'm working on!" Thanks for understanding. Yours truly - Jesse Blaze Snider

Now on to my "About Me..."

I believe that what you do, defines you. So I guess this is me...

I am finally after years of trying to be...a professional COMIC BOOK WRITER! Last year saw the publication of a story I wrote for MARVEL COMICS featuring their character DEADPOOL in Marvel Comics Presents #10 and this year I have a six-issue mini-series coming out from DC COMICS on APRIL 1ST called DEAD ROMEO! It's a vampire romance, a cross between "The Crow" and "The Princess Bride." A gothic fairy tale that proves, not every love story has a happy ending. Check out the first issue cover...

I also wrote a one-shot for Marvel starring THE INCREDIBLE HULK! Hopefully, that will be released this year as well! I'm beyond excited, I've been working on breaking into comics for 8 years now and I have finally crossed the finish line. Now, it's time to kick some ass! Also last year the first issue to a four-issue prequel to the motion picture DEE SNIDER'S STRANGELAND saw print, the remaining issues of which will be available to read online later this year.

I am a Voice Actor. I am currently the voice of a few major companies including Gamestop! (Which is really cool, cause I used to work for a Gamestop making minimum wage!) I have decided to not mention the names of the other companies, just in case they don't want my name associated with there family friendly products. =( I have also done many voices for various radio and TV commercials and promos, one of which ran during the SUPER BOWL! I posted a particularly funny commercial I did for Burger King below. I'm the voice of the rooster who says, "Maybe I do."

..

I am probably best know for being a singer and song writer for/with the band BAPTiZED BY FiRE or BXF for short, please listen to our music on our MySpace and you can get to know me better.

And also as a contestant on the show "Rock the Cradle!" Thank you to all of you out there who supported and voted for me, during the filming of the show. I am a NATIONAL CHAMPION Semi-Pro Football Player for the Brooklyn Mariners! I've been on the injured list for the last two seasons, but I plan to return this year.

I am a gymnast. I used to coach gymnastics in my spare time, but now I don't have any. I sometimes do gymnastics on stage at BXF shows depending on the venue and the height of the ceilings. In 2006 I tore my PCL doing back flips on a stage with low ceilings, so I've been a lot more cautious about where I do flips, but if conditions are right, I'll flip up a storm.

I have been a VJ for MTV2, Fuse & AOL Music's Top 11 Countdown.

I have been a DJ for 98.5 the BONE and the World Famous WLIR.

I have appeared on or hosted shows for MTV, VH1, HBO, FUSE and the DISCOVERY CHANNEL.

I've done some acting here and there, most recently in the opening live sequence of the PlayStation2 Video Game "SingStar 80's" with my dad, my brother Shane and my lady Patty!

I was the Music Consultant on the acclaimed soundtrack to the motion picture DEE SNIDER'S STRANGELAND. And what that basically means is I picked every song that went on the sound track. It was pretty much my own personal late 90's metal mix tape, so if you liked it, you've got good taste. =)

Since I also believe that what you would like to do defines you, I guess this is me too...

I would like to be a prolific writer of comic books, until the day that I die, at least 287 years from now, I should think.

I would like to expand my writing into the realm of film, literature and serialized television.

I would like to be the leader of a new ROCK 'N' ROLL RENAISSANCE.

I would love to be a comedian, but unfortunately I'm not quite that funny, I'll have to live vicariously through my brother Shane instead.

I would love to be an actor. Nothing too mind blowing, just an actor in a story worth watching. That'd be cool.

I would love to change the world. Really change it. Help people think more positively, love instead of hate, smile instead of frown, laugh instead of cry, teach the meek how to use their middle fingers, that sort of thing; the kind of wonderful self-righteous anarchy that you get from having the confidence to be who you choose to be and do what you want to do. Of course, I'll have to do this in some sort of sneaky way that makes it all seem a lot more devilish and cool than it really is.

Either way, my hope is that people will enjoy the things I create and respect me for creating them. That's me. That's what I'm about.

'My hope still is to leave the world a little bit better for my having been here.' - Jim Henson

......
........

Who I'd like to meet:

Alive?

Eddie Izzard: Funny and Intelligent Comedian.

John Cleese: The funniest Python of Monty Python.

Frank Oz: The voice of Fozzie Bear and the reason, I'm not funny. Wokka-wokka.

Trey Parker: South Park creator, a very honest guy.

Robert Rodriguez: Director who came up from nothing and makes ass-kicking action flicks!

Mandy Patinkin: Played Inigo Montoya in the Princess Bride, my favorite character in my favorite movie.

Brad Pitt: Just seems like he'd be a cool guy.

Tom Morrello: Guitar player from Audioslave & Rage Against the Machine, my favorite band.

Michael Dorn: My favorite Klingon and one of my favorite characters from Star Trek.

Ian McShane: Plays Swearengen on Deadwood and he is just an amazing actor.

Garth Ennis: Wrote Preacher the best comic book series of all time!

Sacha Baron Cohen: Creator of the Ali G show and now more notably the movie "BORAT!" Let it be known that he has been on my "I'd like to meet page for over 4 years now.

Dead?

Jim Henson: One of the greatest people who ever lived. A visionary, a workaholic and creator of the Muppets!

Gene Roddenberry: Creator of Star Trek one of the few positive visions of the future in Science Fiction.

Bon Scott: Original vocalist for AC/DC!

Groucho Marx: My favorite Marx Brother.

Peter Sellers: The original Jacques Clouseau, a real character, I wonder what he was really like.

Andre the Giant: Wrestler and my second favorite character in my favorite movie. Said to be one of the most wondeful people you could ever have met. Died young, because his heart was too big.

And now...Paul Newman: Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy, the coolest actor ever, among other achievements. Another one bites the dust.

So.... from one writer to another... I'll just drop this here :)

    "The Animal In Me"

    There's an animal in me
    Just itching to get free
    Enfolded in my mind
    Always seeking my own kind

    There's a monster deep inside
She's not so hard to find
    Always seeking to be fed
On the pretty drops of red

There's a lusting in my eyes
    Sweet itch between my thighs
I can't imagine you would know
What its like when I let go

There's a feast upon my lips
    Dragging slowly by your hips
Its a game your built to loose
When its time to pay the dues

Oh yes the animal in me
Is not the one you want to see
    Looking right at you
    When the passions finally through
