This recording was captured on a crisp & cool Texas night at the home of my good friend - more a brother, really - Adam Saenz (aka Lou). Being a live recording, this CD captures all of the nuances of such an event: forgotten lyrics, wrongly-played chords, songs sung out of tune, and mindless bantering with the audience and your fellow musicians. It all comes with the territory of the live experience. What else can I say? We tried ☺
Hopes & Prayers: In all things it is my sincere hope and prayer that you gain peace, restoration, and connection with some really cool people who become like a loving family to you. May you also experience the joy and freedom we experienced during both our brief visit with friends and the night of the concert. May you reach that place of resolve to deal with your fears and, thereby, begin to experience life in all its fullness.
so how about i wrote this poem thingy. and i am going to get some people to help me form it into a song :D
what is this feeling stirring within me i feel uncomfortable yet i'm at ease i tremble yet i do not fear what is this feeling coming over me i look to Heaven above searching for the answer and i cannot hold it in i cannot contain this feeling i get on my knees hands raised and i begin to pray what is this feeling coming over me i begin to cry the tears do not stop i feel different inside but i do not know why what is this feeling coming over me i feel myself departing the old and entering the new what is this feeling coming over me i pray a prayer asking for the feeling to never leave i ask it to come into my life forever to save me what is this feeling coming over me i lift my head the tears dry and i feel renewed the trembling fades i feel lifted up my spirit flies the stirring feeling remains yet it is peaceful and comforting what is this feeling coming over me it is the Lord Jesus Christ they told me He sent His Spirit to save you welcome to the kingdom of God all of your sins have been washed away and you now alive in the Spirit of God you will forever be changed starting with your heart what is this feeling coming over you it is the love of God pure and everlasting Halleluia Amen
Hey Joey, cool to hear your enjoying Texas. I visited once, I liked it. I've been writing a little bit, but I really need to finish up some stuff I've started. I'm working on a worship CD, mostly covers, but a couple originals.
I was listening to Higher Ground today, still a great song! I'd like to hear it on XM or Christian radio sometime.
JOEYYYYY!! I have to tell you..... wow, what do you think of having a Ten point Ten 10-yearish reunior, bringing together everyone who was ever in the band...... HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE!?!?
Got your cd in the mail the other day. Almost forgot how talented you were. We were listening to it in the Youth Room at the church before Bridge. Brought back memories, was like you were back for the night. Miss seeing you around, hope you're enjoying the lone star state.
So it is sunday morning.. Jacob and I are jamming to your "We live as One". Every time your picture comes up with a hat on, he says hat! Joey, awesome stuff!! Just ordered the CD for me and Mom S. Can't wait to listen to it! Love and Miss ya Bud!
Joey K !!! Hows Texas treating you? Miss ya bro. Keep an eye out for us. The band plays Texas 3 or 4 times a year. Let me know if you come back up to PA for a visit.
Things are about the same. Thought we had the house rented, but it fell through. Back to square one. Leading kids worship for the first time this week!
I sent the disc to WYEP a while ago, and they played 'Can't Take it With You' and 'So Much Sorrier'. If you feel inclined, call them up and request that they play 'Lost in the Crowd'.
No pressure, but I certainly wouldn't mind the extra airtime.
