    .. Karl Gandy, aka Mastermind 1x, is a multi-talented Producer/ Director/ V.J./ Photographer from the Bay Area who along with Bay Area super producer Mike Mosley, is one of the principle founders of Wallstreet/ Steady Mobbin'/ Mastermind, the production company that helped to launch the careers of such artists as E-40, C-BO, The Click, T.Q., 2-PAC, and Cognito. The same production company that helped to introduce to the world some of hottest producers to ever come out of the Bay, such as Sam Bostic, Rick Rock, Femi Ojetunde, Darrien D-Buck Smith, and The Konglomerati. KG is also the founder of Mastermind Multimedia, and responsible for directing and editing some of the bay's greatest Hip Hop cult classic films such as "Bosses In The Booth Vol.1", "Herm Lewis - Ghetto Spokesman", "The Knuckleheadz - Knucklehead Theatre", "Mac Dre - Thizzed Out", And "Treal TV Thizz Latin". Working under the name Mastermind 1x, He is the very first V.J. to lace the legendary Gumbomix series of mix CDs and DVDs. Current releases include "Gumbomix 21 - Evolution", "Gumbo Mix 22 - Evolution - The Saga Continues...", "Made From Skratch Vol. 1", "The Best Of Gumbo Luv - Vol. 1", and "The Best Of Gumbo Luv - Vol. 2". Although KG is originally from the city of Oakland, he has very close ties to the cities of Fairfield where he also grew up, and Vallejo where he co-owned his very first studio with production heavyweights Mike Mosley and Studio Tone. He also has close ties to the city of Sacramento, and is the former owner of Sacramento's premiere tatooo and piercing studio "Murder Ink Tatoos" located in Downtown Sac on 12th & J streets.
