In 1989, Michael Hutchence frontman and Kylie began a highly publicized relationship, helping to transform her image from girl-next-door into a sexy, edgy dance-oriented pop diva. During the mid 1990's their relationship ended. Michael Hutchence committed suicide on the morning of November 22, 1997, Hutchence, aged 37, was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Double Bay, Sydney.
Despite failed relationships, Kylie has always remained ever the professional and has thrown herself to work instead of destructive behavior like so many artists in the industry. "It has made made who i am today"
"Where the Wild Roses Grow" is an alternative-rock song written by Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' ninth album Murder Ballads (1996), and features guest vocals by Kylie. The song was produced by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Tony Cohen and Victor Van Vugt and received a positive reception from music critics. The song was released as the first single in the fall of 1995 and became the band's most successful single worldwide reaching #3 in Norway, the top five in Australia, and the top twenty in the United Kingdom, Germany and New Zealand. It also received a limited promotional release in the US.
"GBI" a collaboration with Japanese DJ Towa Tei is one of Minogue's strangest videos to date. The music video follows Minogue throughout New York City as she is decked out in a full Geisha outfit and make-up and was directed by then-boyfriend Stephane Sednaoui.
"Kids" a collaboration between Robbie Williams and Kylie was released as the second single from Sing When You're Winning, Robbie's fourth album. It was released in October 2000. Williams and then songwriting partner Guy Chambers co-wrote the song for Kylie Minogue. Williams liked the song enough to turn it into a duet. It is also a track on Kylie Minogue's Light Years album and the third single released from that album. A different version of this song with a spoken fadeout rap by Williams appeared on his album Sing When You're Winning.
Kylie has referresd to her long time friend and creative director William Baker as her "Gay Husband" lol
In 2004 Kylie released her greatest hits compilation which included all her greatest hits from her 9 studio albums plus two new tracks "I Believe In You" written by the Scissor Sisters and "Giving You Up" written by Xenomania.
Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour was originally scheduled to perform in Australia and Asia, but Kylie was forced to cancel the tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
However in 2006 she was back on tour with her Showgirl Homecoming Tour! Her fans were over joyed to see their princess return to the stage and it was back to business as usual!
What i have always admired about Kylie is that she has always kept her family close to her. Her mother Carol nurtured children and taught them to express themselves through art. Carol also known as "quick change Carol" has been on the road with her daughter as head of wardrobe on almost all of Kylie's tours. Her father Ron has been her accountant. The picture above was taken in France in 2008 as Kylie is making her mum and dad proud when she received the French honor of Arts and Letres.
Sister Dannii has always been by Kylie's side, the two are the way all sisters should be
Best Friends
Last but certainly not least, brother Brendan and Kylie share a hug, Brendan has remained pretty much out of the public eye and mainly behind he scene literally, he works as a camera man and has recently made Kylie an aunt.
About me: My name is Samara aka KYLIEKRAZY, i was born in Guatemala and came to the US when i was only 1 month old. I have lived here in Chicago my entire life and i love Chicago except for the krazy weather lol! I have an AWESOME boyfriend named John and we have two kids together named Christian and Ashley, they are cuties! I have been a HUGE Kylie fan since 1988 and i LOVE collecting her cd's, dvd's, records and pretty much all her memorabillia. Some might say that i have an obsession or some have even said that i have a lesbian crush on her, to them i say you are very WRONG! I love Kylie because she has been my favorite singer since i was 10 years old and there has not been a single day that i do not listen to her music or admire her. She is the best,
I Love You Forever Miss Minogue!
Who I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet more great friends!
In 1987 Kylie releases her first single, a remake of 60's Little Eva hit "Locomotion" It too becomes a hit worldwide! Her debut album "Kylie" goes 6 times platinum! "I Should Be So Lucky" & "Locomotion" Make The Top 40 in the US with "Locomotion" at #3 on the Billboard Charts!
In 1989 the second album is released titled "Enjoy Yourself" It goes straight to #1 in the UK and later several other countries and reaches the 1.5 million mark in the UK alone, going well over triple platinum. This would be her last release in the US until "Fever"
"Rhythm Of Love"" was released in 1990 and with a new musical direction Minogue now had the opportunity to break out of the mould her record company had created for her. Heavily influenced by her then boyfriend Michael Hutchence, lead singer of INXS, Minogue explored and presented herself in a more sexual and raunchier manner.
The media dubbed this 'SexKylie'
1991's "Let's Get To It" was well received by music critics, and it was described as being "superior" to Minogue's previous album releases. Let's Get to It was a top twenty album in both Minogue's native Australia and the United Kingdom. It featured the sultry single "Finer Fellings" written with help from "Brother's In Rhythm" A Cover of "Chairman Of The Boards" "Give Me Just A Little More Time" and a duet with American R&B singer "Keith Washington"
For her fifth studio album simply titled "Kylie Minogue" this saw Kylie working for the first time without the hit factory that was SAW and she found herself a new dance lable "Deconstruction" The album "Kylie Minogue" was more sophisticated and sultry than the vampish Let's Get To It" she worked with "The Pet Shop Boys" "The Rapino Brothers" and "Steve Anderson" The single was the breathtaking "Confide In Me"
The Impossible Princess album represented a change in Minogue's musical style and featured several live instruments. It became the first album Minogue had full creative control over, which resulted in her contributing to all of the lyrics that appeared on the album. The album was retitled Kylie Minogue at the last minute in the UK following the death of Princess Diana in August 1997. Though the album has been Kylie's lowest selling to date it remains a big hit with her fans. It is truly a gem.
As we entered the new millenium Kylie found herself traveling in "Light Years" this album was seen as her comeback to her original "pop roots" the first single would give her the tiltle of "the best bum" ever" as she showed us how she was "Spinning Around" in her first single release, the famous gold hot pants were said to have been purchased for a mere .50 cents! "Light Years" sold over 2 million copies!
Fever was released in late 2001 in Europe and Australia, 2002 in North America. The album peaked at number three in the US, becoming both her highest-peaking and highest-selling studio album here. The album reached number one in over twenty countries. It reached number one in both the UK and Australia, spending 75 weeks on the Australian albums chart where it had achieved platinum status 7 times.
In 2008 it was announced that the album is the first album released by a Non-Russian act in the history of recorded music to receive a Diamond certification in Russia. The album has beaten the likes of Michael Jackson's Thriller and Madonna's The Immaculate Collection to the title. "Fever" has sold 9 million copies!
The album "Body Language" was supported by a spectacular one-off album launch show entitled "Money Can't Buy" on November 15, 2003 at the London Apollo Theatre. At the show Minogue performed seven new songs, alongside some of her older hits. The album was not a huge success as its predecessor "Fever" but is thought to be some of her best work.
In 2008 Kylie receieves OBE from Prince Charles
In 2007 Kylie released her 10th studio the amazing "X"
On May 6, 2008 Kylie embarked on her new tour "KylieX2008" the show is her best and most expensive to date costing around $20,000,000
For any just regular candy fan now is the best time for it. Just about everywhere has it for half off. Time when I like getting the good stuff. Before Halloween I get the good cheapy stuff like these small bite size candy that goes for about $1.79. Think with my 10% from work and the half off it only was around 85 cents.
Here you go, Kylie in the actual arcade version of Street Fighter The Movie Game. The stuff I put up most of the time is from the PS1 home version. Wish I could try that arcade one. Sounds like a few more fighters are in it.
Hey hi! Love the new main. Sooooo, what kind of candy are you eating? Myself, don't have any right now but I am fond of peanut butter cups. Should hit Kylie up for some.....Kylie, can you give me a PB cup????? Pretty pretty pleezz pleezzz????
(think she in her own kylie way is.......kindly telling me no.)
I'd say a good idea of the over all sound would be the albums Hysteria and the newest one Songs From The Sparkle Lounge. I think the 2 best albums. If you ever want to try samples I think there are previews on Amazon. Wish I could get the songs on my page.
Hey! It sounds like we were watching the same thing! I never saw those movies but one of my other friends is big into Asian horror movies. From some of what I saw they were kind of on the messed up side. Strange, but strange can be interesting.
Wow, that doesn't sound like fun. I didn't do that much "Halloween" kind of stuff. I think I mostly watched a VH1 Classics countdown of hard rock and then went out and was able to rent Tekken 6 for my PS3. Although, last night I did catch this STRANGE Asian Thriller movie. It was called Red Shoes and I thought the time on it was 1 minute so I figured see what could be in that short amount of time. Actually was an hour and a half. It was ok but didn't make much sense. Basically, cursed shoes with a touch of people sounding like they have a shoe fetish. And the shoes were pink, not red. Movie got bloody and was on the creepy side. But I think I'll be sticking with Street Fighter as my fav movie.
