Larry Ray was born in North Carolina in a large family: four brothers and three sisters.

At the young age of six he sang in the church choir until the age of twelve when he started his own group "The gates of harmony".
Contorni funky jazz e ritmiche blues ben delineate dalla sua band battono il ritmo del cuore con intensit.. in un concerto assolutamente vibrante.
From this moment he began his professional carrer touring all around the world.
In questo progetto musicale si propone con un repertorio improntato sul jazz, il blues e il soul, rivisitando le suggestive tappe di pezzi intramontabili come “What a wonderful world”, “Georgia on my mind” e “Summertime” e proponendo brani originali opportunamente arrangiati.
His biggest success was with the world famous group The Drifters who recorded such hits as "Stand by Me", "Save the Last Dance" and "Saturday night at the movies". With the "Drifters" Larry was a member for 23 years.

Comunque alla fine , per quanto mi riguarda, mi sono consolato mangiando in un posto trovato per caso dietro alla piazza dove ci sarebbe dovuto essere il concerto. Ristorante il Camino assolutamente da consigliare (ho mangiato un piatto di gamberoni molto buono).
