"I kissed the lies...Why must they be so kissable?" --AFI

Music
"Kiss My Eyes and Lay Me To Sleep..." --AFI
Various...mostly rock, metal, new age, some punk, ska and classic rock, and even some classical. I find myself really enjoying the music my daughter is listening to, like Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds to Mars, 3Day's Grace, and Panic at the Disco...great stuff! Even the older bands like AFI and the All-American Rejects are updating their music and it's awesome! I take her to the concerts and I end up enjoying them immensely myself, as well! I especially enjoy rock opera...like Queen, Queensryche, Man O' War and Savatage. They are the "Bittersweet Symphonies" of today. Classical combined with rock and roll...what a concept! I love it!
Movies
"Were you holding hands when my wrists bled???" --AFI
I enjoy horror movies the most, like Phantom of the Opera, The Pit and the Pendulum, Phantasm, From Beyond, The Crow and many many more.
Television
"Will the flood behind me put out the fire inside me?" --AFI
I like Sex and the City, CSI, and House, to name a few seasonal specialties. I used to really enjoy those little horror tales like Dark Shadows, Creature Features, Svengoolie, Tales From the Dark Side, and The Tales From the Crypt.
Books
"Am I beautiful...Am I usable?" --AFI
The last book I read and thoroughly enjoyed was Dan Brown's, "The DiVinci Code". I'm really into the spiritual and the supernatural. I was intrigued by the historical facts and the basis for the divine background the book has to offer. The movie was disappointing, although Tom Hanks is a wonderful actor...the film was not as good as the book.
Heroes
"All the same, I remain the one to blame, and I'm demonized, purified, justified . . ." --AFI
My daughter! With all that she and I have been through here in the past few years...her strength has far outweighed mine. First, we lost my Grandmother (her great grandma)and right around Christmastime, we have had to relocate, uprooting her from her 'home' as she knew it due to a divorce, we lost our dog, Malik (papered Siberian Husky) because he couldn't make the transition, we've had our vehicle broken into and then stolen, and survived a major illness! However, she is still on the Honor Roll making all but straight A's! Tell me this girl isn't a survivor...and she's been doing far better than I have been through all this. God Bless Her!

I never turn down a job...every attempt, no matter how small...is still considered experience...and it all looks great on a resumè. I paint, draw, do 3D work, some computer graphics, charcoal, pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel, you name it.
About me:
"We held hands on the last night on earth. Our mouths filled with dust, we kissed in the fields and under trees, screaming like dogs, bleeding dark into the leaves. It was empty on the edge of town but we knew everyone floated along the bottom of the river. So we walked through the waste where the road curved into the sea and the shattered seasons lay, and the bitter smell of burning was on you like a disease. In our cancer of passion you said, "Death is a midnight runner." The sky had come crashing down like the news of an intimate suicide. We picked up the shards and formed them into shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress. The echoes of the past broke the hearts of the unborn as the ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop. The few insects skittered away in hopes of a better pastime. I kissed you at the apex of the maelstrom and asked if you would accompany me in a quick fall, but you made me realize that my ticket wasn't good for two. I rode alone. You said, "The cinders are falling like snow." There is poetry in despair, and we sang with unrivaled beauty, bitter elegies of savagery and eloquence. Of blue and grey. Strange, we ran down desperate streets and carved our names in the flesh of the city. The sun has stagnated somewhere beyond the rim of the horizon and the darkness is a mystery of curves and lines. Still, we lay under the emptiness and drifted slowly outward, and somewhere in the wilderness we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message." --AFI
I'm a fantasy and horror artist, who doesn't like to play games...Life's just way too short...I found that out first-hand.
I finally graduated college with a Bachelors (double major)...one in Secondary Education and the other in the Visual Arts. I survived Student Teaching and can now embark upon my career...it has been a long hard road...but I made it!
I'm really looking forward to the creative field of Art Education...And telling my current employer where to step off! They have no clue what appreciation is...
In fact...Most people I've met in this world don't have a clue! Step right up and cure my disillusionment! Show me someone who does! I'm too old for physical stimulation...somebody please...stimulate my mind!!!
