Thank you for being a friend. I looked at part of your web-site and it looks like you are comong up with some good ideas. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
Yo dude, its sweet to hear sum1 tryin to develop a decent christian video game. But if u dont mind id like to leave u a bit of a sugestion, dont leave out those of us who still play and luv there ps2s.Im not very keen on any of the nxt gen systems at all.And to be honest im not a pc gamer either.simply put i luv my ps2.[lol]Game on my friend.Peace to u,be blessed. And remember walk with the King and be a blessing.
Our subculture has it's own TV, radio, print, and Web media. Artists and producers must connect with fans in these areas--especially the Web. The X-BOX generation is online!
I like the idea of a game that reflects "Christian" values that doesn't have to only appeal to Christians. Supernatural, sacrifice and redemption themes are appealing to a wide range of peoples and cultures. So you seem to be shooting for a game that Christians will be comfortable playing without excluding "non-Christians" who enjoy good video games.
As far as evaluating the appeal of the game I suggest you start to reveal the art style of the game - a la your "Art Bible." Also i don't know if you've begun working on the Design Doc but some technical choices you are making (e.g. which game engine) will influence the art, physics and mechanics that people can expect to experience.
Finally, I am interested in what kinds of social, economic and "combat" systems you have in mind for the game. This also would help potential players give you feedback on how appealing the game is and what tweaks they would suggest to improve the game.
Godspeed!

You asked for a comment on your plan to do a Christian Game. I took a day to think about it, and today you'd written again already, so you must really want my opinion.
Well, though I think religions are the cause of most of the problems in the world today, I realize that they make good money for folks, which is okay. (Look at Billy Grahm and the $2,000 suits he always wears.)
When Jesus rose to heaven, well it was sure easier back then, when heaven was only up on the clouds. Now how far is it since we learned like what the stars are and such? (There's an idea for a game!)
I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but let me know if you want any more suggestions.
So, I read "The Rat" and it is the kind of stories many of us need to see. Stories like that aren't common, but they're the kind of stories so many Christians are looking for. It's very good to see someone keeping extreme violence and sex out of their stories. Where has the good gone? You, Lamplight, are keeping the good; keep up the good work.
As for games, we need ones that don't have murdering and theft and nudity. I bet that many people, not just Christians, would rather have games that you would produce.
Thank you for bringing what is greatly needed in todays society.
Hey, thanks for inviting us to add you as a friend to our fantasy and science fiction magazine! We are really working hard to put out great fantasy and science fiction. We appreciate your support!
Also, if any of your friends are interested in science fiction or fantasy stories and poetry, I (Bill, S.) would love for them to add The Sword Review as a friend.
