I am a pianist. I play my own music, as well as music by other people. Melody and harmony are involved, as well as improvisation. But sometimes, none of these things are involved.
I also play accordion, wurly, rhodes, toy piano, organ, melodica, and MS2000 noise.
My top friends are some people I play with, and some people whose music I really enjoy.
There's more on the website. Thanks for visiting myspace.
The Landon Knoblock Trio, The Heartbeat, The Breath, released on CAMjazz, 2008.
Things are going well in Boston. I'm living here for the summer, trying to get some good work done on writing/arranging tunes for my recital next year. Slowly, but surely. NEC is very different from Creston, Iowa. But I love it! What kinds of projects are you working on? Did you ever know someone named Michael Thomas at Miami?
This piece was just an experiment that happend one early morning (at 5am), so there's no record yet.
However, i might be arranging more stuff like that in the near future. For now, i am finishing mastering a new recording of Argentinian solo piano music arranged for piano and percussion. (it will be on myspace very very soon). I'm planning on a couple of concerts in NY, hopefully will get to see you play Mr. Knoblock :)
hey! it was your birthday just recently...the 16th i think? and i didn't even call you. how poopie of me. john bought a pair of pants today from banana republic and we thought of you. it was his first time. :) happy birthday my dear friend! hope you're feeling wonderful and seeing the beauty everywhere! love love love.
Haha, I'm glad my adjective use was enticing enough for a listen, thanks :) No real plans for the summer except getting out of here and going back to Michigan, then off to Colorado State for grad school in August. What about you? Any summer tour plans?
Hey I know you have a show tonight, and it made me wonder if those of the jazz world say something specific to wish luck instead of actually saying good luck; it seems that every branch of the arts has its own nomenclature, am I right? Si dice in bocca al lupo? p.s. I know it's totally lame compared to playing shows all over the NE but I added some bangin' new tracks from my Senior Recital (hahaha) and you should totally check them out when you're not too busy being famous :P Hope tonight goes well!!
Hey man! I'm on the east coast. Heading up to the city TUes and Wed (7the n 8th). Any good gigs u know of to go check out??? Come meet up if u can. Peace!!!

Those may possibly be the best commercials ever created. Did I ever tell you that during that season he cave the whole cast and crew of burn notice a truck load full of Old Spice. It was so funny.
Barbes' Gig 2/19...Wow,musical energy radiated from the Trio all night! The new compositions were such a welcomed addition to the familiar pieces, which always seem to evolve to another level! Love from Weehawken
