Language of 3, a concept in guitar performance created by Jim Goodin and Matt Richards featuring the creators along with a guest artist in a concert evening of engaging creativity and inspiring musicality.
The Language of 3 idea came together in the spring of 2003 when Matt and Jim both with a long-standing solo guitar experience came together to produce a concert experience of guitar-oriented instrumental music. Language of 3 performances have included shows in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, featuring Matt and Jim and a third artist from a roster of fine players including Richard Leo Johnson, Gary Lucas, Michael Hewett, Adam Werner, John Stowell and others, bringing together elements of Jazz, World, Latin and Classical music. Language of 3 concerts present each artist in a brief solo set with interim duo and trio settings of rehearsed and spontanious music.
