| About Linton Mancilla |
Jimmy Linton--rhythm guitar, vocals;
Eric Mancilla--lead guitar, vocals;
Joe Heacker--drums.

Jimmy Linton had his first song published in 1962. Granted it was only on the main bulletin board at Jefferson Elementary School in Kansas City where he was attending second grade – but it was a start. Jimmy continued to write songs and penned most of the songs performed by Linton Mancilla. He started his first band with his friend Jerry Songer in junior high school. Jimmy, Jerry, and another friend played together for more than 20 years. One of the bands they played in, Pecos, played with The Oak Ridge Boys, Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airman, and Delbert McClinton at famous venues like Billy Bobs of Texas and The White Elephant in Fort Worth. Linton Mancilla, formely known as The Nuisance, came together in 2002 and has given Jimmy the support and freedom to perform his original music and the creative push to write new songs.

Eric Mancilla began playing with his brothers in Mexico City in 1968. Their band, “Polvo,” spent several years on the road playing throughout Mexico and Texas. In 1973, they played at the Austin Aqua Fest battle of the bands competition where they were named Best All Around Band, Best Performing Band, and Best Original Band. They played as the warm-up band for ZZ Top, the Righteous Brothers, Freddie Fender, Iron Butterfly, and toured Mexico with Canned Heat. Eric and Jimmy met and began working on their unique style of rock and roll while playing in a church band on Lake Travis in 2000.

Upon completion of high school, Joe went on the road with various acts up and down the East Coast and settled briefly in Tennessee to work for a southern rock band before heading back to his home town of Dayton, OH in 1982. Back home he began playing for a very influential local band called the "Slugs Premium Band". During that time period he had the opportunity to share then stage with such acts as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Morse and Matt Guitar Murphy, to name a few. Joe moved to Austin, TX in 1984 and is the best drummer the Linton Mancilla Band has ever had.
