Three years ago I moved across the country from my hometown of Klamath Falls, Oregon to Mystic, Connecticut. It was probably one of the craziest things I have ever done. I hopped on a plane to move somewhere I had never been, and got married to my husband who I met on World of Warcraft. It was pretty crazy!
I now live in Niantic, Connecticut with Donny and our cats Kamie and Haley. We have been married over two years now, and I honestly sometimes feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I have almost everything anyone could ever wish for. I live in a nice place, am spoiled, and have a husband who tells me I am beautiful every day. I love him so much, and respect him for all he does being a Marine and Police Officer.
I have been skiing since I was about 4 years old, and nothing in life can compare to the feeling of flying down a mountain. I also enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing which grew up doing with my father. But I haven't had any chances of doing that here.
Music is also a big part of my life. I am constantly humming or singing a tune stuck in my head. (Which some people think I am pretty good at. Haha!) I miss my choir days with my friends... I also play flute, piccalo, penny whistle, and some piano and guitar. I can also easily memorize and sing music in other languages, even if I have no idea what the hell I am singing.
I am also a proud believer in God as a Catholic. I won't deny my religion, and really don't care what you think about it. It is my own, even with all the turmoil my church goes through.
I am a conservative as well, but I usually do not bother talking about politics with other people unless I know their way of thinking is atleast similar to mine. I believe everyone has their own beliefs, and no one else can change that no matter how hard you try to shove your ideas and beliefs down other peoples throats... that, and I also like to avoid pointless arguments.
I am a sometimes a shy person if I don't know you well, which some people mistake for me being stuck up and that is far from the truth. I have a horrible habit of putting myself in other peoples shoes, and I am a firm believer that you should treat others how you would like to be treated. I am hardly ever rude to people unless I have obvious reasons to be.
I have made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I have learned not to dwell on the past. I have fixed my life almost 100% since graduating from High School. I went through a lot then... but then I met my wise husband who told me,"Well if you don't like your life, then fix it!" ...and I did!
So that is pretty much it I guess. So if you are a friend, don't forget to leave me comments on here every once in a while, so I know you haven't forgotten me! ;o) ... or if you are someone who just happened to stumble across my profile, shoot me a message. I like meeting new and interesting people. :o)
