LOGOS, the future of rock music begins with this name. LOGOS is known for their ability to produce exceptional music and perform at a professional level at a young age. Now just out of High School, Cullen O'Donnell and Zach Czajkowski started the group while in the 8th grade with Cullen on guitar and vocals and Zach on bass. The two began writing music and performing in front of impressed audiences immediately and have done nothing but improve ever since. The LOGOS sound is greatly derived from 60s and 70s progressive rock with a modern indie twist thrown into the mix to update the sound and appeal to both young and older generations. Strong vocal melodies bordered by interesting chord changes, busy bass lines, screeching guitar solos, and thunderous drum breaks make up a familiar sound with fresh new views that can't be found in very many other bands today. Brad Kava, a music critic for Mercury News describes the LOGOS sound as "mature, ambitious, well-played...takes me back to the time that rock meant something and was fun." Danny Socolof, the creator of Pepsi’s DeepRockDrive.com says that LOGOS are “the new marketing masters of the digital universe.” LOGOS truly is the future of rock music!
In 2005, they cut their first record titled In The Silence including songs such as Lonely Man and Growing Apart, which have been aired on HD radio, internet radio and FM radio. The song Lonely Man was included in the vol. 1 release of Midwest Music Explosion, a compilation of the best of the best in St. Louis. LOGOS was the only band featured that was still in high school.
In mid-2008 the band teamed up with Ziggy Stull of Saucy Jack Recordings to cut a new 5-song EP called Beautiful Disguise. This EP has proved to be a great achievement for Zach and Cullen as they once again demonstrate outstanding and mature songwriting, topping their previous endeavor. Tracks from this release have been featured on KSHE95 and 105.7 The Point including many live interviews on KSHE. One of those interviews involved a live in-studio electric set that aired live. This was the first time something like this had been done in 40 years of the station’s existence. Since then they have been honored with opening slots for acts such as Robin Trower, Todd Rundgren, April Wine, Blue Oyster Cult, Royal Bliss, Halestorm and the legendary Chuck Berry!
As of January 2009, Tom Pike has joined LOGOS as a new drummer. With a 12 year progressive rock drumming history, Tom has been a great addition to complete the power trio. Zach, Cullen and Tom have currently begun writing for a forthcoming release scheduled to be dropped Summer 2009. More details are to be announced. Prepare for a summer of LOGOS!
