Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.

The divine is not something high above us.
It is in heaven, it is in earth, it is inside us.
~ Morihei Ueshiba
"Namaste" is an East Indian greeting (by putting the palms of the hands together in prayer position) which means, "I respect the place in you that is of love, of truth and of Light. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, then we are one."
Or in other words,
"The divine within me recognizes and honors the divine within you."
~ Namaste Cafe

Luna Jade... Dispersing light through a vocal prism.
a powerful, emotive singer/songwriter with a voice that "can breathe fire one minute and wrap around a dulcet note the next." The sonic love child of Steve Tyler & Eva Cassidy, Luna paints with her voice, using the many varied hues in her palette, while infusing her music with a unique voice that is her own...
writing songs to inspire, heal and make you think while rocking you to your soul.

The gift of creation is a blessing bestowed... and a divine human birthright.
"Creating and expressing is as natural and essential to my being as breathing...
as is sharing my creations... to please, to heal, to entertain... and to inspire.
My muse has many voices, ranging from the deeply technical to the beautifully artistic and I've been known to wander in whatever direction she points me...
I delight in exploring the new and different.
For more ruminations on having an overactive muse with ADD, please visit my LunaSees.com/About page.
My eclectic nature spills over to my songwriting and vocal style. As the daughter of a jazz trumpet player and an artist, I was blessed to have varied artistic influences from an early age. This creative environment provided a fertile planting ground to fuel my artisic growth and expression...
(many thanks to Mom and Dad :)
My projects, each different in style and vibe, will give you a taste of that musical multiplicity. One of my artistic strengths is a chameleonic ability to morph my voice and writing style to match the project.
I write or co-write all of my music.
I've had the pleasure of collaborating with some very talented musicians. Each artist brings their own flavor into the mix, inspiring each other to stretch their creative wings in different directions...
The interaction between different artistic forces can have a kaleidoscopic effect...
the colors constantly change; no two "patterns" are ever the same...
the possibilities are endless...
Exploring and pushing the limits is the challenge I crave... and I enjoy working with musicians who have a passion for the same... sharing music and artistry with honesty, respect and professional synergy.

Who I'd like to meet:
All souls open to light and love...
who care to join together to make a positive change in our world.
Who else I'd like to meet:
Those who give for the joy of it,
who take only when needed and permitted,
who love even when it hurts,
who know only to speak the truth in their soul,
who serve the higher good.
who are:
creative forces of nature...
Teach me something new and I will return the gift.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

One evening, an old Cherokee was teaching his grandson about life...
He said, "My son, there is a battle between two "wolves" inside us all.
One wolf is Evil - he is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, competition, and ego.
The other is Good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

What a wonderful and insightful comment on the dark and the light, Luna! Thank you so much for sending that comment! It is the constant swirl of yin-yang as we cannot know one without the existence and knowledge of the other, and there is a small part of each that lives within the other. That constant flow is what shows us life's worth, love's strength and the beauty of meaning in existence, all of which we cannot know without experiences the darkness. But, I would venture to say that quality of life actually lies in our ability to bounce back from the dark times into the light and to see the light--even when it is the small beacon in the cave. A higher quality of life always turns to see the light, more strongly in times of dark. Poorer quality of life turns its back on the light and obsesses with the dark, allowing that dark to overwhelm them and zap their strength, so that even when they see the pin-prick of light, they cannot feel they have the power to follow it and lift themselves up.
I guess, in part, that is what we are here for--to help those who have difficulty to find their way to the light!
Beauty was darkness till she came. Then paint her eyes, whose active light Shall make the former shadows bright, And with their every beam supply New day, Open your heart and let me in.
I believe the cover I know was by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Luna. If you find that Manfred Mann Earthband album and if K.C. enjoys exploring old songs, then maybe the two of you will enjoy doing together "Spirits in the Night" from that album, a cover of an original Bruce Springsteen song. Plus couple of '60s hits like "Ha-Ha Said the Clown" and "Do Wah Diddy". :)
Hello My Talented Friend: Just dropping by your space to show you love and support. As I stated on R&R you are one of the few female vocalist out there that is versatile enough to do all types of genre. Because of that you will always be noticed due to the ability to stay true to your Inner Muse. You never compromise in what you believe in. You are TRUE TALENT!!
Yeah, I don’t know how long you’ve been playing, but I played for years on guitars improperly setup (action set too high) with needlessly heavy strings… guitar can be hard enough… no sense in making it harder, LOL!
But that is definitely a beauty you got, Luna makes some good guitars at an affordable price, and they are one of the few guitar makers that thinks about the girls… been thinking of getting my 10 year old daughter one ;)
Crap! I first saw the pick of your new guitar in my updates… had no idea who you were, but picks of guitars is “eye candy” for me, LOL! So I commented your pic…
…so then you were polite and commented back… and I still don’t know you’re a recording artist, so I’m a dunce and I’m still handing out cheap advice…
…anyways, I finally went to your page, and I gotta say I like your voice… and you take some pretty good photos too, LOL!
If you ever in Cali look me up, I’d love to jam with ya ;)
That is a beautiful pic of you. How have you been? It's been quite some time since I talked to you. I have been so busy and have been trying to adjust to a new sleeping schedule since the baby came, things are going really well here though.
