Hi! I hope I bring at least a little smile to your face at least once as you read my profile. I am a mother of four. I had 3 boys and 1 daughter. I say had, because they have grown to become very responsible, caring, hard working and loving adults. They are beautiful inside and out. I have taught them that 1. There is always a positive side to every situation! 2. Every person is a person with a heart and regardless of everything and everyone should be treated with respect.3. To always do their best at everything but to remember their best will not always be the same. THEY ARE MY PRIDE AND JOY. I am a public health nurse for Texas Department of State Health Services. I have been in the nursing field since 1978. I love my job because I get to meet so many children, their families and sometimes I am lucky enough to see the children flourish as they graduate from High School, college and get married and have families of their own. I consider myself lucky because once I meet these people; they stay a part of my life. They remember me and we keep in touch. The majority of these children are wonderful huggers! I LOVE HUGS! I am also editor in chief of a newsletter that is distributed through out the state of Texas. I am Chairman for the City of Mathis Festival and Events Committee. Together as a team we coordinate festivals and events for the City of Mathis and surrounding communities. I am a big promoter for OUR SMALL TOWN WITH A BIG LAKE AND GREAT PEOPLE. Our goals are to promote Mathis, promote the lake, bring business to the businesses in Mathis and last but not least to bring people together. I love to see people smiling and having a wonderful time. My personal goal for the committee is to continue to bring good fun memories, happiness and joy to all through all of our events. I believe that we have brought an interest to Mathis and I can see very positive things happening. My dream of giving youth a place to go study and improve the quality of their life, whether it is health improvement through the physical activities provided, educational or self esteem will become a reality. For a good time, I love fishing, dancing, movies and I especially like to play in the rain. I love to watch the sun setting or rising and I love to sit by the lake and enjoy the scenery. I love to stop and smell roses and admire their beauty. I love to watch butterflies and hummingbirds fly freely without fear and admire their strength. I love music and especially enjoy doing volunteer work with JV for Tejano Roots Hall of Fame. I love to meet people that come and look forward to seeing them again. Well, tis all folks.
