Mike Shorey was Born in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York,..of Barbadian and Trinidadian..descent. This talented R&B/street vocalist and songwriter specializes in crafting melodies that are guaranteed to touch the people who love R&B with an edge. Mike Shorey began singing in his childhood and developed his abilities with no formal training. While his vocal skills and talent evolved he was inspired by R&B artists from the 1960s and 1970s, such as Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson; as well as more contemporary artists such as Jodeci and R.Kelly. The young star debuted in 2003 on Fabolous' single, "Can't Let You Go" which was a major success powered by a "Just Blaze" beat. "Can't Let You Go" reached number 1 on the "Rhythmic TOP 40 Chart" and number 4 on the "Billboards Hot 100 chart", followed by another major HIT single "BABY", which gained great success.
Mike Shorey has great songwriting abilities, he has worked with and penned songs with super producers such as Duro, Scott Storch, Jazze Pha, FlameThrowers, Just Blaze, Midi-Mafia, Mark Sparks, C. Styles of DANGEROUS LLC. and Daron Jones of 112. Mike Shorey features on songs and has shared the stage with artists such as Fabolous, Bow Wow, Lil' Mo, and Pharrell "Skate board P" Williams of the NEPTUNE's. Mike Shorey has performed on various world tours, and was also a featured artist on 50 cents and JAY-Z' highly successful Roc the mic tour.
After becoming a victim of the legal woes in the music industry Mike Shorey decided to take some time off to perfect his craft and over the past few years, has been working on his debut album. Mike Shorey is prepared to show the music world what it has been missing in a R&B male vocalist. He is determined and motivated to make his own lane in the world of music.
