Ain't too much into movies, but a few standout, "Cooley High," "The Five Heatbeats," "Sugar Hill," "Lakawanna Blues," "Harlem Nights" and "To Sir With Love," "Stompin' At The Savoy." One movie I enjoyed too was 'A Bronx Tale.' I think Michael Wright is one hell of an actor.

About me: I am in the NYC area. I was born in Harlem, raised in the Boogie Down Bronx, Kelly Street to be exact and the Patterson Projects. I am Gullah with my ancestors hailing from Charleston, S.C.
You have all type of folk runnin' around here claimin' they created hip-hop, but it was D.J. Hollywood to transformed that art to what it is now. He was the first to rap and rhyme (his own, made right off the top of the dome I might add and can still do so. Try him and see what happens) over music. I was right there with him when he was creating the magic in Club 371. So let me dead all the lies and preconceived misperceptions about who did what. It wasn't until Wood's hiatus that folk started claimin' shit. I'm here to tell it. I know.
I love music. I grew up in the Apollo Theatre and there is nothing I respect more than a singer who can really sing and kick-assed musicians who can truly bring it.
I am a strong and solid Black woman who respects loyalty. We also must never forget the sacrifices of our Ancestors, to do otherwise would be unconscionable. Know your HISTORY, read. These two actions are one of the greatest gifts one can give oneself. I have a fierce love of learning. One never stops learning. I am very mental. One has to have something under the cap to deal with 'Ship. Ain't never about no bullshit, so if that's the case, you can keep it movin'. I am a strong Black woman that doesn't need anyone or anything to justify who I be.
I love Black theatre and nightlife and nature. I worked with the Negro Ensemble Company for over twenty years and have befriended and worked with the best. The NEC has been the training ground for most of the actors you see on television and in the movies today. Adolph Caesar, O.L. Duke, Charlie Brown, you guys are sorely missed.

Nelly (Sir Derrty) & the St. Lunatics. That brother is one of my favorite artists and people. His heart is true and I know we would be friends for life. Real recognize real! I've been to every concert he had in NYC, but never met him. As far as I'm concerned Sir Derrty (Nelly) and the St. Lunatics are the best in the business and they're stupid funky and Sir Derrty's lyrical dexterity and flow are unmatched in the game. As a matter of fact, they have changed the game! I wouldn't mind meeting meeting Katt Williams. We would have madd fun, my kinda brother. Another person I wouldn't mind meeting either is T.I. I'm into real people, and he's one who's real as it gets.
