About me:
UPDATE: I AM WORKING AT DYNAMIC DISH IN ATLANTA AT 427 EDGEWOOD AVENUE 3-4 DAYS A WEEK.
Ok so it's been 14 months since we have moved to the farm and opened Greenleaf Organic Farm and Bakery and the verdict is in. I LOVE IT.
I am enjoying our nearly 200 year old house. There has been some craziness, of course, with the bats that were flying into the living room from the fireplace at night but that problem is fixed now. We have several wild turkey's on the property and lots of deer, rabbits (an organic farmers nemesis) and lizards. Greg tells me there are snakes but I don't want to know about that! We are doing several farmers markets weekly and people are beginning to come by our shop at the house that we repainted and fixed up. I am baking about 80-100 breads a week with whatever is in season...so far it's been tons of zucchini, pumpkin and peach breads as well as any other kind of cakes I feel like making. They are selling out every week!
If anyone had told me 10 years ago that this city girl would be living in a small town 55 miles from Atlanta, start an organic farm and bakery I would never have believed it! The people that we have met here have been very supportive and wonderful.
I hope things only get better.
