Maggie Martinez is a former State Representative of Puerto Rico (District 40). She is a former Spanish teacher at Rockdale County School System and a Board Member for the 13th Congressional District. Maggie is a founding board member of Early Care and Learning, department “Bright from the Start.”
Maggie lives Hampton, Georgia with her husband Pedro L. Maldonado. She has three sons: Mark Anthony a high school student, Fernando a US Airways pilot and Michael a soccer coach.
Maggie has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Communications. She is currently enrolled in a post-graduate program studying Foreign Languages, Leon University, Spain.
In 1999, Maggie was selected as “Legislator of the Year,” by House of Representatives, General Asembly from Puerto Rico. Maggie believed in helping children and preserving women’s rights. She also presented a bill proposing that adoption process should not take longer than twelve month for a child to be adopted.
Maggie will be a great U.S. Senator and she will bring social justice to the people of theState of Georgia!
