Here are some interesting statistics:
*After the wedding and reception were all over...
* 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.
* Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.
* During wedding planning, Brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority!
* When asked 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.
* 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding, said, if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a disc jockey.

When you're choosing a DJ for your event, you have the right to be picky! You want the DJ that's easy to work with, has good experience and that's going to make your event memorable for you and your guests! Here are some questions taken from various articles on the internet that everyone should ask their potential DJs before deciding on one:
1) What kind of experience do you have?
2) Do you own your own formal attire? (If not the cost of tuxedo rental could be charged to you).
3) Do you own your own equipment? (Same as above but a more hefty fee!)
4) If I don't have an event coordinator (one who oversees formalities and other details), can you as the DJ help me with this? (The good DJs can.)
5) Will you set-up your equipment before my guests arrive? Does that cost extra?
6) Do you know how to work with Videographers, Photographers and Caterers? (It's important that everything is coordinated, so there's no confusion).
7) What genres of music do you play?
8) How much music do you own? How much of that will you bring? (This is key becuase many DJs will tell you of their vast amounts of music and give you lists of songs, but bring only a portion of that to the actual event.)
9) I don't know what a Time Dance is. Should I have it at my reception? What song should I play? (The best DJs will let you decide what goes on at your event, but will also offer meaningful suggetions about specific music selections and events.)
10) Will you be my DJ? (This one sounds silly, but oftentimes the DJ that shows up to the event is different than the one that had been working with the couple all along.)
