The Music Room began as a brother/sister duo looking for a creative way to express years of music lessons and stockpiled lyrics. Their band has grown from the two siblings to a three piece band adding bass and occasional accompaniment on electric guitar lending fullness to their folk rock sound. Aimee Bellanca's vocal has earned comparisons ranging from female vocalist Patty Griffin to Priscilla Ahn. In addition to her soothing soprano the backing vocals of the band has stayed in the family with younger brother Dane Johnson providing bolstering baritone. Each performance is uniquely different from the one before, so expect to be captured by The Music Room's set whether it be your first time hearing them or a repeat visit to one of their shows.
dane. i am stoked to see you guys doin what you are! looks like your having a blast. me and rich are starting a christian side project from our band(neither have names yet, but the bands been going for a while) and it would be cool to play a show together someday, Lord willing. I didn't even know one of the Kelps had befriended you. I didn't know you existed until I spotted an update, and your charming picture beckoned me with a friendly finger to hear your music. And I did. And now, I'm very glad to know you exist, and, barring unforeseen events (I imagine none), I'll be hearing this all live at Bloom, quite happy.
I am blessed by your music... thank you for the album. I woke up singing track 1 this morning. We should do a show next time I come through. Peace, hope and love.
Hi Aimee! You are welcome. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed supporting you and Danes music endeavors. It was great to catch up with everybody(you, Nick, Dane, your mom. )-Liz
