With rich vocals that have been compared to a cross between Johnny Cash and Ian Curtis (Joy Division), Mark Sinnis’ music incorporates gothic undertones and hints of traditional country music with a contemporary modern edge.
Mark Sinnis is a New York City music scene veteran known for his "Cemetery & Western" sound and thought-provoking lyrics. Mark, whose music spans 2 decades, was the co-founder and singer/songwriter of the NYC band Apostates for 10 years. In 1998, he started Ninth House and is the sole songwriter for the group.
“Into An Unhidden Future”, Sinnis' debut solo album containing 19 tracks, was released in March 2008. Sinnis’ label, 9th Recordings, released Ninth House’s three full-length CDs and his solo albums. Mark Sinnis remains active playing the New York City and tri-state area music circuit and has built a devoted following.
Mark's new CD "A Southern Tale" was released in March 2009 on 9th Recordings.
