Faust's Interests
|
| General | .. Laughing. Reading, walking, photography, mixing drinks, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mike Tyson interviews, Mr T, Gundam Wing, arguments about nothing, alligator wrestling, programming, Serial Experiments Lain, Swearing, Coffee, The Dark Tower. Sarcasm, Trailer Park Boys, Handcuffs, Rin, Final Fantasy 1 through 9, sexy nuns, breakdancing, The colours Purple and Navy.
| | Music | .. Music is the most addictive drug I've ever been on. Can you imagine going a day without music? A week? A year? My heart belongs to Classic Rock, mostly. I love the Beatles to death. I love Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Those are the Big Three, and it's not easy to topple them. Some other great bands (but not all of them, you can never really think of them all at once) include: Aerosmith, Soundgarden, Weezer, David Bowie, Alice in Chains, Beck, Collective Soul, Cypress Hill, Dead Kennedy's, The Vines, The Tragically Hip, Tool (sometimes, my brother beat tool to death), System of a Down, Busta Ryhmes, The Stones, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, Temple of the Dog, Offspring, Nirvana, Mystikal, NIN, Pearl Jam, Lynard Skynard, and even Judas Priest sometimes. I also like good videogame music and movie scores. Any music that makes me feel something is good music to me. And last and certainly not least is one of my newer favourites, KMFDM. Or MDFMK now, I guess. What a kickass band. | | Movies | .. As with music I'm pretty passionate about my movies. If a movie makes me laugh or think or cry then it's automatically in my good books. Also as with music I'm sure I'll forget some of the classics, but these are movies I've had love affairs with:
Batman, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, Tombstone, Heat, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Major League, Leprechaun, The Green Mile, Fear and Loathing, From Hell, Army of Darkness (and both of the Evil Deads), True Lies, Escape From NY, The Producers, Stand By Me, The Ref, Terminator 2, The Predator, Any Dirty Harry movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and so many more. Those are the off the top of my head ones. | | Television | Television isn't as evil as everyone makes it out to be. Not necessarily, anyway. A lot of it is brainless garbage, but not all of it. I watch the CSI shows when I catch them because I find the science interesting. Dave Chappelle is always worth watching as well, as he makes me laugh until I cry. I don't mind watching the oldschool Law and Orders, either. These shows and the discovery network make up my real life television show watching. The rest is anime. Allow me to list a few of the ones I've watched and enjoyed. Serial Experiments Lain (<3), Gundamn Wing, Evangelion, Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist, Robotech (just the Macross Saga), Inu Yasha, and I liked Dragonball, but only because I was watching it on CD and not one episode at a time. Does Teen Titans count as anime? I don't think so, but some do, so I'll list it here as well. Serial Experiments Lain is the best show ever. If you understand Lain then you understand certain key aspects of who I am inside. Let's procreate .. | | Books | Books are the greatest. Books are a window into another world. A world that sometimes (and quite often) makes more sense than the one we live in. My tattoo is a quote and a picture from my favourite book. That's how much I adore books. Here are some authors and some of their books I've read. No way I could list them all. Crichton: Sphere, Jurassic Park, The Terminal Man. Rice: Servant of the Bones, All the Mayfair witch books, almost all of the vampire books. Stephen King: I've read it all. The Gunslinger and Insomnia deserve a mention. This is still taking up too much space! Now just authors! Katherine Kerr, Patricia Cornwell, Terry Goodkind, Poe, Douglas Adams, Richard Adams, Grisham, Dave Barry, Robertson Davies, Atwood, LLywelyn, Robert W Service, Rand, Ray Bradbury. Twain, baby. .. | | Heroes | The Joker, Jon Stewart, Johnny Depp, Andy Dufresne, Dave Chapelle, Dave Barry, Denis Leary, Stephen King, Jack Burton, whoever invented cruchy peanut butter, and certainly anyone that has ever come into physical contact with Christina Ricci. She makes my chest feel like it's melting <3 .. |

About me:
Hi, I'm kind of crazy but it's that deep down, "I can't get enough of that guy" crazy. The kind that got kids in trouble a lot at school but it was somehow always amusing. I studied programming in school and I really enjoy computers and other forms of electronics. I love to read both fiction and non-fiction (a healthy dose of both helps keep a man level) and I love watching movies. I like animals. I like making people laugh and making people happy. I like to see my friends smile. I work in many different fields, including fake jobs just for fun. I like to go places that I've never been to before just to see where they go. I'm open minded. If I don't like something that doesn't mean you can't love it to death. I'll try just about anything once. And I'll try most things twice. On the same day, even. I enjoy seeing people act like people instead of animals or worse. Laughing is the best thing ever. If you agree then you're my friend. I'll even laugh at myself. No one is spared. I'm a closet romantic, though I guess admitting it thwarts the very point I was making, but I'm slightly intoxicated while I update this so please bear with me. I like penguins. I like people that are slightly humble like I am. I think that's enough of the "I likes". I'm easy going, honest. Message me and I'll tell you just about anything. Except some of my weaknesses. They're mine and mine alone.

Who I'd like to meet:
Holy crap, an update! I'd like to meet anyone that can actually maintain an email conversation for more than, say, three messages. I'd also like to meet people that would like to chat on yahoo or MSN, I suppose. I'd like to meet people that like to talk about things that aren't redundant mainstream pop-colture moronacy. I want to meet people that don't disappear when they turn sideways. I want to meet people that know what I meant by that last statement. I want to meet people that are compassionate about something. I want to meet someone that I can spend my life trying to impress and delight. I want to meet someone that's confident enough to like the things they like but considerate enough to most often let others like whatever craziness they want. I want to meet someone easygoing. I want to meet someone that just likes to listen sometimes. I want to meet people that like anime or good books or strange art or breakdancing. I want to meet people that give something a chance before they judge it. I want to meet people that are capable of thinking of anyone but themselves every once in a while. And god almighty, I want to meet Mayor McCheese.
