About me: Hi ya'll. well, what to say. my life has changed drastically in the last 27 months. i can't believe that it has been that long. if you have been reading my blogs you will know what i am talking about. dec. 31, 2005 i was admitted to the hospital with something called cavernous hemangioma which is a mrcioscopic drop of blood leaked into my spinal cord which paralyzed me. my mom and i moved to carlsbad last january, which is near san diego. we live in a senior citizen mobile home park. it was the easiest and fasted way to get me down here and in therapy. it is awesome as it is like i have a ton of new grandparents. my dad flys down every other weekend or so to be with us. i have a trainer that comes to the house to work with me four days a week for spinal cord and triathlon training...getting bigger muscles! and i also go to a therapy place in anaheim which is doing wonders for my walking. i am doing good and making improvements weekly! i now swim at the YMCA with a masters group and have personal coaching for. i have also started training more as the triathlon season is just around the corner. will put a race schedule up when i know it :) please write me, visit me, pray for me. check my blogs as i will be updating soon and every so often. thanks for your prayers and keep them coming! oh and i am working on a new website which will be out before the months end that will be my official race and speaking website. will let you know when that is ready for your viewing. take care.

Researchers at the University of Kentucky invite you to participate in this research study and to help us understand how athletics and participation in sports influences perceived exertion with activities of daily living, mood, level of depression and the feeling of self-worth. We will also examine the most common reasons why people are unable to participate in sports and evaluate options to overcome those barriers.
You will receive a small stipend for your time. Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. You will not be personally identified in these written materials. We may publish the results of this study; however, we will keep your name and other identifying information private.
The research procedures will be conducted at the University of Kentucky and Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, however we will include volunteers with spinal cord injuries nationwide. You will not need to come to the University of Kentucky, however you will be asked to fill out a number of questionnaires and will be asked to send those back to our team.
You will receive this questionnaire by mail or in person with a self-addressed, stamped return envelope resulting in no cost for you.

miss davis! or shall i say erica now? that would be great if you came to watch :) it's usually open seating so i'm pretty sure it'll be like that. i can get you a ticket so that you don't have to pay, just say you're on the guest list and tell them your name and probably who you're coming for. this whole college gymnastics thing is new to me too so im sorry if i'm a little off. but im excited! so just to be sure its on sunday jan 18.. starts at 2pm at UCLA. i'm pretty sure i'll have a little time to see you after the meet, but i'm not sure how long because when we travel they say we're pretty much with the team the whole time. but i cant wait! see you soon! :)
