Moira Cue is an expressive transmedia artist with a focus on the semiotics of female iconography. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2003, where she won a John D. and Mary E. Hoggins Scholarship Award, a Fellowship Award, a Merit Scholar Award, and a Certificate of Leadership. Ms. Cue is a prolific painter, whose paintings are in collections in Europe, Mexico, and several major cities in the Unites States as well as celebrity collections including Madonna. Ms. Cue is also a singer and songwriter who has preformed in venues in Los Angeles and Chicago, including the Empty Bottle (Chicago) and the Mint and the Gig in LA. Ms. Cue has been in the recording studio with Billy Corgan and introduced to celebrities including Danny Glover and many others. Moira has appeared on E!, Chicago Tonight, and Montel Williams. She is currently working on her memiors, or a semi-fictionalized variation thereof. Ms. Cue has completed three marathons, and one half marathon, runs an average of twenty miles per week, is an avid reader, and loves to collaborate with a variety of musicians and artists. Hey, Shawn & Kevin from LA's Rock Cover Band Forever Vinyl wants to invite you down to our Open-Mike Nights. We will be hosting Open-Mike the next 2 Wednesdays (tonight) @ Venice Bistro in Venice (5:30-10pm). Right on the boardwalk with tons of foot traffic!. We will also be hosting one every Tues (except May 13) at a great venue, Aura Rest. & Nightclub in Studio City (8-11pm) We will provide PA, acoustic guitars, acoustic bass, electric piano, and percussion. Just come on down, sign-in and you'll get to play (atleast) 2-3 songs (original or covers) or 5-10 minutes for comedians.
