About me: Well, this Monkboon guy now lives in Northern Florida (moved here November 23rd, 2006 from San Diego, Ca). Originally from Milledgeville, Ga, I spent my first 14 or so years in Hampton Roads, Va and the next 6 in San Diego, Ca. Hey, I retired from the Military/US Navy/Ordnance/Munitions/Weapon s at the beginning of 2007.
I'm trying to get back to California but the Wifey "pulled rank", lol and plus our home is much larger and better in every aspect and cost 1/4 of what our home was in Cali, so Florida definitely has it's advantages not to mention "sweet tea" being served in all Dining establishments, but yet, I'm still "California Dreamin", which happens to be my ring tone that extremely annoys my Wife.
Anyway, this Monkboon guy began his Military service in Jan of 1987, is happily married with 4 children and has been a fan of Wrestling since 1973. This Monkboon has well over 95 Wrestling Video Games.
I have pretty much played them all and my current favorite is Fire Pro "R". One reason that it's my favorite, is it currently 1 of 3 Wrestling games (FPZ/D being the other) on the market that I can have all of my created Wrestlers and Referee's from my E-Feds in one game, plus have various created belts for my Federation and actually have my created Federation Logo, right in the center of the ring.
I hope to one day work for a Wrestling Gaming company or publish my own Wrestling game. When I'm not working or in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, reading anything about technology, and just trying to be a good Person, Husband, Father and Role Model.
I have for many years compiled notes of what I believe would be the Greatest Simulation Wrestling Video game ever created. I have a few binders with notes and ideas of what I would put into my Wrestling game.
Who better create a Wrestling Game other than someone who plays them and knows what makes a great game, the Wrestling Video game fan himself.
I have played enough games to know what would be the ultimate SIM and what the fans really want, a simulation game that is easy on the beginner, yet hard to truly master unless ample amounts of time be put forth learning the in's and out's of the game engine.
Along those same lines, a game must have enormous replay value and enough depth to satisfy one even after all the secrets have been revealed and unlocked. This is a Dream of mine, and maybe, hopefully, one day it will materialize, Monk....
I prefer: Simulation over Arcade. Substance over Flash. Profound over Shallow. Gameplay over Gimmicks.
