I go by the name DJ NEMESES from DALLAS, TX, PLEASANT GROVE...ive been doing this turntablism thing since the age of 13. I have a deep respect for this artform, It gave me somthing to do and kept me out of alot of trouble growing up...im pretty much here to listen, share music, and network with people who want to collab on any level, and nothing more...
I've been in many local and national dj competions and have done background music for many tv commercials and radio spots. I was also featured in a tv commercial for pepsi displaying turnablizm. Ive opened up for national acts such as: PETE ROCK, GHOSTFACE KILLA, QUEST LOVE, ASOP ROCK, JURASSIC FIVE, 2MEX, SWOLLEN MEMBERS, LIVING LEGENDS, HANGAR 18, AWOL1, SHAPE SHIFTERS, MR LIFF, ZMAN, ANTICON, LA SYMPHONY, PLANET ASIA and SELF SCIENTIFIC. I also had the oppurtunity to perform on the same stage with DMC of RUN DMC, DJ ILLTRACKS, DJ I-EMERGE, MADD LIB, DJ J-ROC of the BEAT JUNKIES, TALIB QUALI, COMMON, DJ A-TRACK and KANYE WEST at the annual GUITAR CENTER SPINN OFF GRAND FINALS in L.A. 2005. I was blessed to be able to perform at this event by winning the 2005 SOUTHERN REGIONAL GUITAR CENTER CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE. I also had the oppurtunity to compete in the 2006 GUITAR CENTER REGIONAL U.S. Competions in South Beach, MIAMI, FL. and finished off an LG MOBILE TOUR here in DALLAS, TX where i got to open up for THE DEFTONES, TONY HAWK, and DAVE MIRA.
