Nicole Falzone is a dynamic performer, drummer, and vocalist who spreads hope and inspiration to her audiences. Her soulful voice is an extension of her incredible drum playing. From the time Nicole came out of the womb, she has lived and breathed music... .. She was born in Niagara Falls New York to Sam and Joan Falzone. Her father is a jazz musician who played with The Buddy Rich Band, Don Ellis, Louis Bellson and Maynard Ferguson. When Nicole was 6, the family moved out to Los Angeles, California, where her father could pursue his music career. Nicole spent most of her childhood collecting records and listening for many hours at a time to records, analyzing the music and learning how to play from the recordings. Every other week her mother would take her to the record store so Nicole could buy the latest hits. Waiting two weeks to go to the music store seemed like an eternity for her. She would get so excited she could not sleep... .. She is the consummate musician. She has performed or recorded and been on the same stages with such artists as: Ray Charles, Frank Zappa, KD Lang, Thomas Dolby, Robbie Robertson of The Band, George Benson, Katey Segal from “Married with Children” (who herself was also a former member of the Harlettes with Bette Midler). Keith Emerson, Paul Shafer from Late Night with David Letterman, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter from the Doobie Brothers, and the Latin guitar world fusion group Incendio to name a few... .. Nicole has appeared on: The Tonight Show, Entertainment Tonight, and “The Lou Rawls Special” as a vocalist and percussionist with Katey Sagal, among many other appearances... .. She had the pleasure of performing at The Academy Awards in 1993. The theme was The Year of the Women. Nicole was featured as one of the lead singers and drummers in a 26 piece all female band. .. Nicole joined up with Tommy Malone of The Subdudes in 2000 and cut and released Tommy’s first solo cd titled “Soul Heavy” and shortly thereafter went on tour... .. In 2001 Nicole had the opportunity to perform at The New Orleans Jazz Festival where she played alongside with The Dave Mathews Band and Paul Simon. That same incredible year she and her band, along with Robert Cray had the honor to be the opening act for Ray Charles at The Austin Blues Festival... .. Nicole is also a songwriter and has her own solo record out called Matters of The Heart. Her CD was featured in all the Regal/United Artists Movie Theaters around the country... She was also the drummer / Vocalist in the original band Red Van Go. When they toured Japan, they became a big hit. Japan labeled the music and invented a new category for them called "Neo Folk Jazz " .. In addition to her musical talents, she is a gifted visual artist and is world-famous for her Etch-A-Sketch fine art. She and her visual artwork have been featured in USA Today, the L.A. Times. the CBS News, The David Letterman Show, Good Morning America, and on the Donny and Marie Show. Her work has been featured in galleries, and has recently been profiled in a new toy book titled: The Playmakers, a book on the history of all toys ever made in America. Her Art was featured and a few paragraphs stating that “Nicole Falzone is the Monet of the Magic Screen.” She has taught kids and families at art festivals and at The San Diego Contemporary Art Museum on how to draw on the Etch-A-Sketch. Most recently , Nicole’s art was featured on VH1’s TV special entitled “I LOVE TOYS”... .. Nicole was featured in the FAO Schwarz 2005 holiday catalog drawing Etch-A-Sketch portraits for customers around the Nation... .. Currently, Nicole is performing with the talented songwriter/singer Michelle Mangione and the inspiring Latin Jazz World Music group Incendio. Nicole spends a lot of her time touring and recording in the studio for many recording artists including writing her own music and performing it as well as for television and film cues... .. .. ..
