I am very appreciative that I have had the chance to meet and have had conversations with Fantasia, Terrance Howard, Regina King, Lauren Bacall, Cicely Tyson, Muhammad ALI (he kissed me yawl) Angela Bassett and Tamyra Gray...
While out in L.A. with songwriter Preston Glass I met PRINCE and LARRY GRAHAM!!! Three of my funky spiritual and musical brothers.
I just met David Foster at CMW (yes the David Foster) got the chance to sing with him and he said "you have alot of soul in your voice, I would love to make a record with you" (im still waking up from fainting) I recorded "Everything I Miss at Home" on the Many Moods cd and never thought I would have the chance to meet Cherrelle...then low and behold, I received the opportunity to not only meet her but sing background and open for her as well as Jean Carne, Angela Winbush and Shirley Jones (by the way...Cherrelle loved it..thanks Chris Robb!!!} Also got to open for Mo'nique, Michelle Branch, Avant, Wayman Tisdale, Paul Taylor and sang with and licensed "Many Moods" to Marcus Johnson for the Three Keys Music compilation Grown & Sexy. So i feel blessed to have met that many people but if i had to say... Oprah Winfrey, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Louis Armstrong, Gladys Knight, Sting, Prince, Will & Jada, Mary J, Faith Hill, CeCe Peniston, Missy E, Heavy D, Babyface, Queen Latifah and anyone else living their dream, not forgetting where they came from and keepin it real! Just did a show hosted by Ms. Erykah Badu and let me tell you all...she is so nice, real and laid back its refreshingly ridiculous! Yawl, support that sister as she does so much for us Indies!!!
Sounds Like
The soundtrack of my life ranges from Sly and the Family Stone, Prince, John Coltrane, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Annie Lennox, RUN-DMC, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Bob Marley and so on and so on. With an influence like that I have been compared to Lisa Stansfield, Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Jill Scott and believe it or not...Ella Fitzgerald (that bottom register...BASEMENT) Though the most flattering thing i hear most is...I have my own sound and am not an imitation of anyone. I LOVE THAT! I have my own voice hate it or love it though what i am told is that the way to truly appreciate me is to let me perform. I love the stage... I love the Peoples!!!

Funk Ghost: Artist/Producer/Arranger/Songwriter/Actor/Business man known as Funkghost has remained somewhat of an enigma. A bonafide Tampa street legend, This Artist's body of work has influenced a generation of dj's/ producers/rappers/singers from his region, as well help lay the foundation of Central Florida hip-hop. In 2000, he dropped his Classic Debut LP entitled" Ultra-Boogie Highlife". Unfortunately, The album never reached it''s full selling potential. It remains a cult classic and hard to find gem ( only 20,000 Units were circulated). BEWARE!!!! The "Morris Day of Rap" is back!!! with his second full length Lp entitled " Dirty But Sophisticated " on his own imprint Grand Extravagant.
