    CURRENT PRODUCTIONS: NITTY GRITTY has teamed up with NYEH ENTERTAINMENT on an UNTITLED HORROR FILM which is gearing up for a spring shoot as well as developing a film adaptaion of STILL THE RIVER RUNS, a play by Barton Bishop. PAST FILMS: AMERICAN STANDARD, written and directed by Ryan Cummings was an official selection at the 2007 Student Films Across America Film Festival. Ryan's 2nd feature DROP DEAD DRUNK, which he co-wrote/directed with fellow schoolmate Chip Rybak was temporarily released via the internet and is currently making its rounds in the festivals. In 2006 Frank Licata and fellow cousin Mike Cooper garnished some recognition when their first short UNDER THE INFLUENCE was an official selection at both the LA and NEW YORK FILM FESTIVALS.

    NITTY GRITTY is currently in production on several TV/web-series including: HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN, a reality show about an up-and-coming cabaret singer in NYC & TECHIES, a mock-comedy/drama about college kids working tech at a performing arts college. In addition NITTY GRITTY & NYEH ENTERTAINMENT will be shooting two pilots this March: BAD APPLES, a comedy based in NYC about young struggling artists and the lives that they lead and another untitled project concerning the behind-the-scenes-goings-on on a recently failing soap opera set.

About me:

NITTY GRITTY STUDIOS is an independent film and alternative media studio based out of NYC. It was founded by Ryan Cummings & Frank Licata in the summer of 2008. NITTY GRITTY is a fully fledged independent production studio providing a myriad of services from conception to distribution while all the time staying savvy to the financial limitations of many of today's TRULY INDEPENDENT artists. ..

Who I'd like to meet:

Anybody and everybody who is interested in creating new and exciting art TODAY! Those who are tired of waiting for "permission" or "funding" in order to practice their art. We work with filmmakers, writers, artists, musicians, cabaret singers and anybody else with a vision and a strong passion.
