The second NUCLEAR BLAST band contest (this time exclusively via Myspace) is now completed with an incredible 3000 (!) applications from all over the world. So please don..t apply anymore. Now it..s time for us at NUCLEAR BLAST to listen to and evaluate all candidates in order to find a dignified successor for the winner of the 2006 band contest, shooting stars SONIC SYNDICATE. Be thrilled in prospect of what the worldwide young Metal scene has got to offer!
Nuclear Blast Records is offering YOUR Metal band the chance to sign a worldwide record deal!
In a unique contest in collaboration with MySpace International, unsigned Metal bands from around the world will have the opportunity to win a contract with the leading label for (extreme) metal music.
Band must be unsigned
Band should play Metal
Absolutely no cover bands
Own your song material
No offensive material – Fascism and racism will not be tolerated
No song material older than 2 years
Bands music should be in the English language
Bands must be able to speak and communicate in English
Don’t send mp3s , myspace adresses only
Nuclear Blast has the first rights on signing the band
All entries agree to receive periodic record label newsletter.

2006, swedish youngsters SONIC SYNDICATE won the Nuclear Blast bandcontest, out of 1500 other bands participating. After they signed their worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast, the debutalbum "Only Inhuman" was released in May 2007. The album hit the Swedish album charts on &035; 22 and the German album charts on &035; 64, not even having played one show in Germany back then. From then on, the band was booked on the mainstage at With Full Force Festival, played on mainstage of Wacken Festival, did a very successful EASTPAK European Tour together with Soilwork as well as the "Darkness Over Christmas Tour" with Caliban and Heaven Shall Burn in December 2007. The brandnew, highly acclaimed album is due in September 2008 and the band is all set to be the peak of modern metal these days!

'Abandoned' has a beautiful guitar line and dramatic notions, and is generally the best from the group yet. This really is a fantastic song, in the band's humble opinion, and the fans love it, too.
