Se7en, renown Asian international pop singer, has been diligently working hard for the last year and a half to break through the U.S. mainstream market. With full support from YG Entertainment and in collaboration with U.S. based Red Queen Media, Se7en has independently produced his first English album. Working with renown, R&B music producers such as Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, Rich Harrison, Noizetrip and Teddy from 1TYM, Se7en is near completion and set to drop his incredible first album, with twelve new tracks featuring artists such as Fabulous, Far East Movement, Academy Award winning Three 6 Mafia and multiple Grammy Award winning LiL Kim, at the end of this year. Se7en is currently in discussions with signing on with a major U.S. record label which will mark a historical event as the first Korean artist ever to do so. Se7en is also set to launch a major U.S. marketing campaign in conjunction with the release of his first single, 'GIRLS'. His first U.S. produced music video and five city U.S. tour is currently being developed and set to launch early 2009 to be followed up shortly after with his international tour. Discography
After 6 years of hard training in YG Entertainment, Se7en released his first album "Just Listen" in 2003. The first single "Wa-Juh (Come Back To Me)" went instantly to No.1, and became a prelude for his triumph. In 2003, Se7en won "Best New Artist" in 6 different music awards shows held in Korea and 9 Korean Grammys.
Despite his early success, Se7en went immediately back into the studio to work on his second album. A year from his debut, he released his 2nd album, 'MUST LISTEN'. It entered the chart as No.1, and at the same time, the single "Yul-Jung (Passion)" dominated all the single charts in Korea. In March 2006, Se7en released his 3rd album and he added another No.1 album and No.1 single to his discography. His popularity has earned him an award for the Most Popular Korean Singer in the MTV Asia Awards 2006 at Bangkok, Thailand, and the MTV Best Buzz Asia Award 2006 in Japan. To accelerate his pursuit to music career, he released his fourth album in November 2006. The album went No.1 again, and he released his sold-out concert DVD in July 2007.
Activity in Overseas
After the completion and success of his fourth album, Se7en set off to Japan, where he quickly learned Japanese, and set off on his Japanese tour in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya during the summer, 2007. According to his Japanese label, Nexstar Records, he sold out each venue, which held over 20,000 people. After sweeping through Japan and Korea, Se7en soon became a music icon in all of Asia.
