Im not old, Im an antique! I have been in a long term relationship with my man Jesus Christ. He is my lord and savior and he never lets me down. He answers my prays, each and every single day. I remember there was a pair of designer sunglasses that I saw at MACYS for $350.00 that I really wanted and I prayed about it til my heart ached. One weekend, my grandbaby came over to visit me on spring break from College and I found the money in her wallet one night when she was sleeping, it was more than enough for the glasses, so I only took what I needed and left the rest, Thank you Jesus!
On a more serious note, I am an up & coming comedian. Like most comedians I was always told that I was funny. I've performed at the World Famous Comedy Store in La Jolla, California. I participated in Star 100.7's SUPERMOUTH contest which searched for San Diego's Next Great Radio DJ and beat out thousands to make it to the Top 8; which I am very proud of. I was a Judge for San Diego's Search For a Star and I am a contestant on Season 2 of NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.
Who I'd like to meet: There are many people within the entertainment industry that I admire for their talent and contribution to comedic acting. When I was younger I would watch Flip Wilson and he amazed me with his character Geraldine. Later came Martin Lawrence (with his character Shanana and Big Momma) and Eddie Murphy who has so many, I just can't name them all. But today Tyler Perry rules, and thank God for him and his character Madea, because she is paving the way for me. Although, Im not trying to be Medea I am called Madea all the time in public it used to bother me but not anymore. People ask me to take pictures and I do, I just make sure they know who Ms. Granny Pearl is. I've even been asked for my autograph, but I don't sign anything unless people understand that I'm not Tyler Perry. I hope to meet him one day; and maybe, just maybe he can pass his torch to me.
The power of certainty is without limits. In life, there will be many tests you will have to face. You must hold on to the belief that everything that happens is for the best.
Since I don't drink and my birthday is saturday; I would love to share one of my favorite 3 drinks with you! I wish you all many happiness & anohter year of great friendship! Marthy

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
