We are an Airsoft club located on the Central Coast of California. Our club specializes in providing training and skirmishes to other airsoft enthusiasts. How we got our start:
We began our airsoft "career" as a team that quickly became a squad. We found it was nearly impossible to muster the same team members from game to game. Our games usually became five combatants going into battle against each other. As a result, we found ourselves developing better tactics and strategies. We soon learned that coming together to train was as much fun as an actual game. We decided to organize as a club instead of a team.
What we have now is OPFOR STARS. The club has an elite unit of six dedicated members known as The Death Squad. The Death Squad operates much like a LRRP team from the Vietnam era. All members of Death Squad have attended Mike Force's Recondo School. The other club members are activated for "uprisings" on a case by case basis. During these "uprisings" our club takes on the role of an opposition force. Our members wear a variety of uniforms and carry a variety of weapons. We are distinguished on the battlefield by our brown beret's and OPFOR insignias.
On December 10, 2006 the OPFOR STARS Club and the Mike Force Airsoft Club joined forces. The Mike Force was a mobile interdiction force of US Army Special Forces soldiers in the Repbulic of Vietnam. The Mike Force was active from 1964-1972. Some of the finest soldiers in the world were "Mike Force."
