The Orange Marsupials are a band that aims to boggle your mind, your ears, your hormones and all your other senses ;) . They're influenced by tons of artists from the funk, reggae, hip-hop, and rock scenes such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Outkast, Dr. Dre, 311, George Clinton and Parliament, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Sublime and many, many more. The OM first formed in the winter of 2006, but didn't begin playing shows until the summer of 2007. Ever since then it's been Magic (Johnson). They've performed at large venues such as St. Andrews Hall, The Shelter, Blind Pig, The Magic Stick , Clutch Cargos,The Ritz,TNT's,Freedom Hill, Royal Oak Music Theatre, Premier Concert,Hayloft, and The Emerald Theater.
Our aim is to spread the Orange Marsupial name throughout Metro Detroit and Michigan, gathering fans along the way, and striving to meet our goal of becoming a major musical act known around the world (or at least nation ;]). We love our fans (from family to friends) and greatly appreciate the support they've given us and we will continue to deliver show after show in return.
