Stemming from the green pastures of the West Country, Oli 'n' Clive met on the road to London carrying drums, cello, ukuleles, bass, cornet, harmonica, musical saw, guitar, violins, autoharp and eggs. Oli is the singer, and Clive is the rest of the band. Sometimes sounding like the raw end of Dolly Parton and sometimes the blithe end of Tom Waits, it’s hard to pinpoint their main influences but they’d definitely include, as well as Dolly and Tom, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and Evan Dando. Perhaps more influential, perhaps, would be beer, strange east-European alcoholic spirits, dogs and Larry David…

Please check out our new comic "Vampire Bankers" music video. The guy who directed Madonna's first music vid also directed this. We think it's pretty funny.
Thanks for being our friend! Uke Jackson and the NY Ukulele Ensemble
Hello beautiful People of Oli 'n' Clive! Just a quick note to say Dave and I both got the required grades for Uni so Dave will be off to Leicester and I'll be going all the way to Plymouth! Cheers, Oli x
That's a relief because I may well be performing in Blackpool that weekend! Send my love to all the guys anyhow, and make sure you keep me informed of any side projects etc.
Well it's less of a summer fest and now just a band in the hall... but they're not too bad a band and there's still gonna be a BBQ! So is it true or not about supporting the Rumbles? I'm probably away that weekend anyway so I'm hoping it's not coz I won't see you anyway...
On the website of Tavistock's popular 'Wharf' I read that Rumbles are playing on 3rd of May, with support from Oli 'n' Clive, has my dream really come true or is it a mistake?
Oli 'n' Dave have sort of started playing some music, you may be pleased to hear. Unfortunately the only song we were able to play without rehearsing beforehand was Borat's 'Throw the Jew Down the Well'... it went down well with the crowd but got us kicked out of the quiet study area, suprisingly! x
I'm mourning the future without the Oli n Clive album to remind me of a time and a place and a group of people whose paths all converged for a while to the sound of folk n roll.
Now i'm alone with just my fading memories and a handful of shoddily recorded .mp3's for comfort...
Where's my flux capacitor... I've got a crazy idea...
